For a 'Mech that beat the Caesar, Cataphract, and Guillotine in a poll, you'd think the Excalibur would have more votes.

I have a reasonable explanation for that: The same types of people who like the Black Knight like the Excalibur... but they like the Black Knight more. I know because I'm one of them.

Axeman if there is melee, Black Knight if not.. since AFAIK there is no melee I'm going with the Black Knight.

Very torn between the Axman and the Black Knight. I went Black Knight based on what we need in the game, considering the other Mechs. We have plenty of AC/20s already, and an LRM Boat at 65 in the Catapult.

Awesome is a laser boat and not much heavier, sooo....... I guess this game needs a lot of laser boats. I do realize that there will be customization, but seems like a laser boat mech like a black knight would have lots of laser hardpoints...

Alright, well I wasn't sure if you where being serious or not. In most, if not all of its variants, the Awesome is considered a PPC-boat. PPCs of course being different then lasers in the case of BattleTech/MechWarrior.

Well although lasers and ppcs are in fact different, they are not as different as say a laser and an autocannon. They are both energy weapons and a ppc is just a little bit more powerful and hot than a large laser. I will revise my first comment....

We already have an awesome, and it is just a slightly heavier energy boat. I do realize that there will be customization, but seems like an energy boat mech like a black knight would have lots of lenergy hardpoints...

This good enough??

oh and i forgot to say that ppc has a longer range.

I voted Excalibur. I just love them Gauss Rifles....

Well, all I see in my mind when I read that comment was a Black Knight and an Excalibur going at it. According to this poll, the Excalibur is at a huge loss considering the fact that it has the least amount of vote, unlike the Black Knight, which obviously has the most.

I only picked the Black Knight because it can stay in a fight longer. If it were during and after the events of 3052 I would go with the Champion for the additional two configurations made with Clan tech.

since the orion and others got trounced in the polls (thankyou facebook polls) the champion is the least of the evils that be on this poll. still waitin ta plant an ac10 round into an over heated blackknight...funny lil fact, yes ammo is explosive by nature, but what happens when you fire energy weapons in an already heat strickened mech....memories of mw3 come to mind that the mech basically vaporizes itself, especally on an over energy fit alpha.... wait for it :D
