Clan. To me that is Mechwarrior and Battletech. This beginning part is just a Trial of position.

I am a spheroid. Choosing a canon house or mercenery unit feels like leeching off their artificial fame forced up on us by the novelists. I'll stick with a noname mecenery / unknown house garrison unit or be a lone wolf, because all those wooden steriotypes and mary sues aka "plot armor characters" in the novels left me in despair.

Dont like the clans with their uber mechs and their so called "honor". Sitting in the cockpit of my techlevel 1 Warhammer, I'm charging my PPC's, holding the line and waiting for your mainstream mad cat to come. Dont misunderstand me, I dont say all of you are fanboys sticking with the supposedly winning team of space nazis, who has the better weapons and are described as the "genetic superior" pilots by the lore. I just feel deep aversion for those post MW3 and mechassault players who choose the side because they thinks of clantech as "oh cool, another weapon upgrade", don't apreciate the TT origins and the gracefull simplicity of the 3025 era mechs. You want glory and acceptance of your giftake? Then face the IS in a LCT-1V Locust. nuf said.

never said anything of the living jags that wound up as bondsmen, and when they became bondsmen to another clan, they became that clan. cant speak to any that got away, but, again, a DEAD jaguar is a DEAD jaguar in the end. and a captured Jaguar is no longer a Jaguar when made bondsman in a different clan.

Will never play as a clanner, my core Mechwarrior experience started with mw2:Mercs and it's something I plan to continue by founding my own IS merc corp..I think I'm more excited about this game than I'am Diablo lol.

personnal i would go with clan ghost bear. they turned warden and eventaully help the innersphere. i read a few ghost bear books and liked how they did things. i kind of bumped heads with how the wolf's and falcon's did things and why. i have always liked how the clans use honor on the battlefield and how they bid to go into battle.
