Now now, we may surprise you yet. Also, we have a huge future. We only have 7 planets after the Clan invasion, sure, but eventually Clan Ghost Bear and us become one, as the Rasalhague Dominion.

And with that every part of what made you FRR dies with it. -_-

You are just a Clan extension, not a free nation. <_<

And with that, I respond with:

Quote

Rasalhague Dominion is located between the Wolf and Hell's Horses Clan Occupation Zones and the Draconis Combine and comprises 71 inhabited systems and an estimated 280 billion population. The executive capital, home of the Elected Prince, is located at Asgard on the planet of Rasalhague, while the parliamentary capital, home of the Dominion Council, as well as the capital of the Dominion's Clan population, is located in the city of Silverdale on the planet Alshain.

So, not really gone, just combined. Still have the elected Prince, and still have a "freeborn" warrior caste.

Even if that's true, we'd still more free than most other Inner Sphere nations :D

I'm still undecided.

The clans are pretty much right out. They rarely fight to win, focusing too much on individual glory rather than bringing overbearing power to focus on the enemy to preserve your own troops. Mercenary corps are unlikely, since I don't know how much time I'll be able to devote to battle. If I choose a stellar nation, it's going to come down to who has the better booze so I can drown my troubles properly after whichever bad situation that is in store for that nation comes to pass,

Then the FRR is for you! We don't allow our Mechwarriors to go into battle with anything less than a keg of mead under the command couch!

I drink a decent amount of mead. Not only is it tasty, but it is also considered to be one of the possible candidates for the Greek Ambrosia, which makes it a fitting drink for any mechwarrior who considers themselves a god of the battlefield. My only problem with mead is that it is only about as potent as a similar amount of wine. Does the FRR having anything stronger for the times when hard liquor is needed?

And are the rumors of a planet settled by the Swedish Bikini Team true?

Most warriors are not invoked in the politics their society plays. Warriors must live by their rules and code which may be outside of society's norms. The Bushido Code is the most honorable (in the current time frame) of the houses.

Money.

I don't do politics, be it real life or in a game. But I do value power in numbers, and the ability to rely on teammates who are actively working collectively towards an objective (so freelancing it won't cut mustard for me)

With lucrative finance-generating abilities, I chose the Merc Corp. I might not get salvage rights. I might be hired to help a house win some land or a planet, but all that matters in the end is that my time and efforts have been vindicated by beau coup c-bills.

I cannot recall my reasons. I lost my memory in the last battle. I tihnk we lost since my mech was severely damaged and found myself hiding in an underwater cave. The only thing i know now is i have to find a way of smuggling my broken mech out of this ****** planet. After become a lone wolf until i discover my past.

Once again a good explanation, nice to see some people without the "OMG THE CLANS ARE ALL TEH BADGUYZZ I HATES CLANS" mentality.

Not all bad guys, just all part of a giant sociological train wreck that makes it impossible for all but one clan to avoid being the bad guys, and they end having to commit literal treason to do it (I wonder what would have happened if anyone had found out Wolf had ordered their own recon unit to help the enemy repel their invasion...), and after all that, still end up falling to their own catastrophic social problems in light of a complete inability to deal with the post Tukayyid truce anyways... but yeah, I think all that's pretty well encompassed in "train wreck":)

Clan Wolf, the chosen Clan of Kerensky, for its history.
Out of all of the clans, they seem the least bloodthirsty and destructive, resorting to tactics rather than brute force and their beloved technology. Of course, this dangerous combination of tech and tactics led the Wolves to exceed the other clans during the Invasion. Also, they seem to suffer less from the stereotypical Clan superiority mindset, ("better weapons and tech = victory over IS savages."). They are probably the most levelheaded out of all of the Clans in general, save for a few warmongers. Obviously, Clan Wolf is not without its detriments and mistakes. However, I prefer them over the quarrelsome and sometimes psychotic IS houses and the bloodthirsty, warmonging Crusader Clans (yes, that means you Clan Jade Falcon and Smoke Jaguar).

Also, they have a cool logo ;)

I had never played BT other than the video games where the best you could do was exert some 'influence' over how the other houses interacted with you in MW1... So when my friend recruited me to MPBT: 3025 I just asked what house he was in and there I was. However I liked the unit and house so much I'm back for more!

When it comes to space-related games I am almost always one of these three things: merchant, mercenary, or smuggler.

If I could somehow merge Cowboy Bebop and Firefly into one show with the same number of episodes as all of the Star Trek series combined... I'd never watch anything else.

Rassalhague, bcause I don't know of any other faction that is willing to hollow out an urbanmech to create a mobile beer keg.

Also Republics are nice
