Did u fix it? I get the same thing anyone know how to fix it? Downloaded the game twice threw play for free but to me seems like the download is way to small only 1.2gb? Think it's only patching a game that's not in yet anyone care to help?

Hello,
I have the same problem! Yesterday everything was fine, now Windows 7 installed some updates and MWO does not work anymore. I reinstalled MWO, DX, vcredist, Nvidia drivers and nothing helped.
Greetings,
Tohiwa

I did a complete reinstall of Windows 7 and now MWO starts again without "Failed to Initialize...". I will now install all the patches again (137...^_^ ) and see if it still works after that.

Do you have teamspeak running?
Having teamspeak overlay on will crash mwo client due to a microsoft windows 7 patch.

Since this must be coming up immediately in MWO search engines, follow the directions provided in the link above, but make sure your antivirus program is disabled while patching.

Afterwards, if the issue continues use the repair tool listed in the link below. Once the tool has deemed stable (no constant changes being made to it) it will be included in the actual patcher.

It is actually a CryEngine problem not MWO necessarily. 20 seconds with Google showed me that much. Another 180 seconds showed me that there is no clear solution to this error. Some funky combination of Windows, Video Drivers, and other software installed like .Net versions etc etc etc cause this problem. Most common fix... clean reinstall of Windows and Drivers.
