Alot of you guys who love to post image macros like the above post really bad ones and should stop doing it. They aren't clever or funny or otherwise add anything to the conversation that can't be summed up in a two word post (in the case of the above - a one word post). I know I am talking to a brick wall here, but this needs to be said... for the sake of everyone.

I find them funny. Guess that ruins your argument doesnt it? Yes, it does. And before you suppose that im dumb or something, even if I am that doesnt mean what I find funny should stop existing because youre a pretentious douchebag.

A picture can explain how you feel far better than text sometimes.

also another snippet from the same QA session

WardenWolf an hour ago
The latest patch (yesterday) changed LRM arcs substantially - something that was not noted in the patch notes. Can you confirm if this was a bug, or if this is intended LRM behavior? If it is intended, what is the counter supposed to be? Cover - even tall buildings or cliffs - is no longer effective in stopping incoming missiles as they simply fly over and then straight down on top of mechs.

Bug. Got past our process, a failure. That is why Open Beta is so important we need to perfect our processes with a large player base. This should be hot fixed very soon.

Its nice to see PG/IGP tests game changes like LRM angel of attack before pushing them to production environments. Them stating open beta is nesseccary to catch bugs like this just confirms that no one internal to their organization tests anything. One programmer says, hey it works on my box, and figures it must be golden. Anyone want to speculate what this hotfix will break?

A picture is worth a thousand words. So you could have saved everyone reading that and just posted a picture of a traffic cop.

im not Saying it was Aliens... But it was Aliens...

I think the main problem is that the Devs added a new System for the LRMs without adding the ECM to counter it...

I dont know why the Devs keep feeling the need to add new Tech without the other half to it...

Indeed. A good picture can be worth a great many words - hundreds, perhaps.

I don't understand how it's a bug, then again I'm not a developer.

Either way, glad to see they see the problem and are resolving it.

The nature of programming can lead to unforseen and often crazy-*** bugs. You change the color of that Catapult's missile ports and suddenly the mech can't fire lasers any more. Stuff like that. If it was just a mistake that they intend to hotfix I see no need to get up in arms about it.

Now something like, oh, the mechlab crashing every time you try to equip something you already own as well as something you just bought, which has persisted through at least one patch? That's a problem.

If you have learned nothing from your experience here you have to at least take away that PGI likes to take something that needs a minor tweak and they try to fix it by throwing a f*ing monkey wrench into it, watch it spin out of control then set it on fire for good measure.

Thanks PGI, this type of response is great and I appreciate it.

Cheers!

I think they use actual monkeys.

300k people can catch something 2-3 people cannot. Thats why beta testing is important.
Its like the differences between using a fishing rode and a fishing net.

He is, you'd be surprised by how a little change can screw up something on the other end of the spectrum.
