Wish I had more detailed information on it's harpoints. I can kind of assume based on a visual observation of each but as of now I'm unsure of which I want. I might go with the one with the missile hard point on its arm and try for a large pulse and streak combo to make a nasty, mid range brawler but I'll need to wait and see what the machine looks like.

I was thinking about the 2X, looks promisingly well rounded but we will have to see the hard points.

Don't know how accurate it is but this gives us a run down of what each machine might come equipped with.

Still lacks hardpoint location, however.

3D

Like having a K2 with jumps. What's not to love?
I might try to turn it into an improvised IS Storm Crow B stacking medium lasers with an AC20.

Hmmm 3D for sure, jumpjets with UAC5x2 and 4 medium lasers. I likes to mix my dakka-dakka with some pew-pew lazzors.

I might buy 2 of them but I don't know. If I do I will buy it with cbills and save my MC for the Highlander or Stalker. But I'm pretty sure this is going to be my favorite mech besides the later clan additions.

2X if it has enough missile slots and the 3D.

The obvious loadout is 2xGauss, DHS, MLAS, FF or Endo. However, Missiles and Gauss is very good too. So 4 missile hardpoints would raise the 2X above what the Centurion can do.

JumpJets on Heavy and up make them fat targets because they hang in the air at the top pf the arc, so you would only want them for crossing terrain or reaching a perch that non-jjet 'mechs can't reach.

I prefer having more energy weapons, so the 1X is probably going to be my go-to. I think I'll really like this mech, as its in that sweet spot between Centurion and Atlas.

Also... 48kph on the 4X? That can't be right.

3D- 2 gauss and whetever else i want to fit in there (the sniper)
4X-i assume and hope it might get 4 or at least 3 balistic harpoints play waruond with UAC5 triplets if they fix the jaming mechanaic, or just macro an unjamming sequence. (the killer)
1X or 2X depending on wether and where the 2x gets it's extra hard point, either way it will be my barwler with medium lasers and an lb10x or ac20 depending on my mood. an srm 6 on the 2x if thats who i want. (the brawler)

The 4X is slower cos the base model will have 2 AC/5, LL, and LRM 5 plus all the ammo. Engine size was sacrificed for weight.

1X, the Capellan way. :P

Might as well change it to 3L.

While the Catapract is appealing for the double gauss it does have some drawbacks over the Cata-K2. Specifically, if it only has ballistic slots on the right side of the mech it becomes significantly easier to render useless over a K2. So until I see the slot layout, the answer is none.

The CTF-4X has a speed of 3/5 (walking at 32.4 kph, running at 54.0 kph) and cannot jump.

-----

Personally, I would go with the CTF-3D - respectable speed and armor for a heavy 'Mech, jump-capable, and capable of a fair mix of loadouts (guaranteed minimum of x2 ballistic slots (RA and RT) and x4 energy slots (RA, RT, LT, and LA)).
