Dual gauss is too fragile for the amount of weight it takes.

Cataphract is all about the ac's.

4xAC5 is dope.

I hear the cool kids are pairing up 2xUAC5 and 2xAC5. Might have to give that a go.

4X == 4XDakka. You can do some dmg puttng gauss in those arms, but you'll last longer and have more fun with the Dakka. :(

I was leaning toward the 4X but It is not too flexible and I have terrible aim right now so I don't think It would be for me. I'm now thinking the 2X will be the better mech for me.

I have been tinkering with 4X with a couple of builds.. My wallet hates me for it. :)

I like this setup so far.

4X is a slow mech, right? If a lagshield-flavored Jenner gets to you. You are in a big trouble, right? My setup is the perfect one to fend them off, imo.

Phract 4X
XL 225 engine
2X AC/10s with 4 tons
2X Medium Pulse Lasers
1X SSRM2 with 3 tons
1X AMS with 1 ton.
Endos
NVIDIA Lady AKA Lucky Lady. :D
10 Heatsinks with DHS
max armor points. *434*
Basic and Elite skills unlocked

That's plenty of the close-ranged firepower include the faster medium lasers due to the slow turn of the cockpit. It's helpful against the speedy lights/meds.
