Dervish, it's an interesting mech, it's got decent maneuverability, relatively common, not necessarilly Iconic, but used a lot by the Dirty FedScummers (and I want traditional targets for my Dragon) It can operate ina a Cavalry, support, or Trooper role, and it's not an overpowered boredomenaut like the Devastator, or a super-rare flashbulb like the Black Knight (which is heavilly outmatched and outstyled by the 5 ton heavier Awesome in the energy boat class).

Second pick would certainly be the Raven. I like our Capellan allies, but in the game, there are already 2 capable scouts. The Dervish brings something a little different.

I guess I just want classic targets.

Black Knight rules...
It has the kind of crits you can load any kind of weapon you want into.

I like mediums, but "Dervish is rubbish." Well, it is not a bad mech, but if I wanted to pilot something like that, I would take Trebuchet, Catapult, Archer, or anything else. They are simply better at it.

With that said, I vote for a Raven.

Picked the Dervish. Good speed and weapons loudout. Raven is okay with the electronics but, way to slow for a recon, even more so when there are mediums that are just as fast.

Umm, I'm a fan of MW4, (I spent thousands of hours of my own time making extra mechs for the MekTek mechpacks, took abuse for doing things other people didn't agree on for not being cannon, etc) but no, the Black Knight does NOT have anything goes hardpoints. That was a MW4 specialty build for the expansion of the same name, not the standard Blavk knight build The Black Knight can't compete with an Awesome, it's slightly faster, has much less firepower, much less armor. Most importantly, not nearly as many heatsinks...

DOES NOT have Jumpjets on the basic build...

Going with the Dervish here. Close second is the Raven. The Raven is kind of an iconic mech but I always really liked the Dervish although it's an underrated design.

I was torn between the Black Knight and the Dervish, but I had to go with the Black Knight.
