A bit like the KV-5 or Lowe tanks in World of Tanks.
2 days ago I was able to grind over 1 mil in credits to buy the next tank I unlocked in about 4 hours of running in the KV-5. Even battles I lose make me 25-35k, wins average 40k and up, and I had 2 battles where I broke the 100k credits in a single match.
Contrast that with the ISU-152 which often loses money on a loss and a win where I don't get a lot of shots I'm lucky to break even.
Thats not to say I don't love the ISU-152, I do, but a great earner its not.

I'll leave balancing issues up to the developers. If there's a mech I want, I'll be ESPECIALLY likely to buy it if I think it will give me an advantage. They've pretty much already said that you won't be able to buy your way to victory, so just buy whatever suits you.

I hope that doesn't happen, things as important as variants should be earnable by playing as well as paying. Things like special paint schemes or logos I think are ok if some are payable only and not earnable.

Yeah, I think the devs already mentioned that you'd be able to unlock anything that you could purchase given that you put enough time into the game.

The other thing I sort of don't see on the list is premium service. The option for "Extra experience for an hour, I'm busy and I want to make the most of my time." comes close, but that doesn't feel very ongoing. Also not as profitable for PGI as a subscription service. So add to this list...
Subscription fee to have enhanced exp and cbill generation while subscription is active.

i play wot too and i know what youre saying. i wouldnt have a problem buying a farm mech.. but with the way wot is setup, you really can buy your way to the top, that i dont like. yea, ive invested some loot in the game, but.. the problem there is youre constantly relying on your farmer just to advance. i hate having to play 5 - 10 games in lower tiers just to play a couple of games in my tier 10. there are so many ways of handling this, i just hope mwo doesnt take that approach.

You wouldn't need to buy new mech bays all the time...
Paying for mech bays may not be quite what your thinking. Buying mech bays would be the ability to store more mechs than normal. You could start with a half dozen empty mech bays. Then you get your first mech. If you sell that mech you keep the bay and put a different mech in its place. It just means you are limited to piloting up to 6 mechs at any given time. Buying more mech bays would just give you the ability to store more mechs at once.
