i have played wot for a long time, and have almost 30 tanks in my garage, all tier 10 tanks, most tier 8 premium tanks(not the type, wont do it)
i hope mwo crushes wot, they have been warned that pay to win will kill the game, and at this rate it will.
the devs have been quoted as saying, they know its pay to win, and just dont care, they want our money.
Quote
its the smallest mmo i have ever played, do you know what that word means?

And I think for many (most) people MWO will have the same impact on WoT as the price of tea in china.
I wanted the poll so I could see actual numerical data.
also, now that I have a similar poll up in the WOT forums, I can compare the numbers

If MWO gameplay will be at least as fun (and I'm sure it'll surpass WoT sooner or later), that's one feat in itself... Add my craving for a new BT/MW game to that and you won't get me away from the PC anymore!

Your poll is fine, just ignore the malcontents and their "oh wow another poll" and "who cares" comments. Obviously enough people care to vote and post constructively, so, yeah ignore the cranks.

Sorry to disappoint you, but my 10 and 11 year old boys are STOKED to drive mechs. I'll try to teach them tactics, but, well they're 10 and 11. Live it with

Plus the graphics they have in the gameplay vids for MechWarrior Online already blow away WoT.

But you can also keep their hate speak and vitriol to a minimum (or at least teach them how to interact properly with team mates).
It's the 16-22 year olds I have issue with, because apparently common decency and manners died in about 1990 or so.

I agree i have been playing WOT since closed beta on and off and it really is just a grind and money sink.
You have to pay for a premium account ( which i have/ and did) if you want to get and stay over Tier V even then once you get to Tier VIII plus even if you have a premium account you have to run lower tier Tanks to support your higher tier Tanks.
Which in my view is a very dumb game model and is also at the top of the complaint list for alot of users.
I know when MWO comes out WoT will come off my computer and just be a distant memory.

If your kids are good then i am not complaining about them i am complaining the ones who try to think they are good but really suck. I just don't want to have to play with people don't know anything about Battletech or don't like to work with others which will be important in this game. I know that there will probably be people who jump on this game from WoT or play because it will be free so i am preparing myself for that.

Well the people of WoT will be "excited" to play the new World of Warplanes and World of Battleships when those come out.

I agree even though you might have to pay to play this game i would think it would be worth it because i think this game is going to be epic but i want to wait and see first.

But unless MW:O flops I doubt I'll pay for it anymore.
Quote for truth.
Its damn fun if u play it for its gameplay, exploding tanks never gets old. But as soon as u switch on the grind mode, it gets old within a few days.
Also, i doubt its going to suffer alot. Maybe the us servers but wot is huge in east europe and russia. Plus mwo isnt cateri.g to the ww2 panzer fans which is a hegu market on its own, as wot has proven.

I'm planning to replace WoT with MWO... but as the nature of F2P MMOs... its kinda hard to do that...
However I think an interesting analogy to draw from this is that MWO is to WoT how EVE is to WoW...
I totally agree that a large portion of WoT NA players will leave for MWO...

With all that said, I have to put in that I believe I will continue to play WoT (and WoWarplanes hooray!) while I try MWO out. I'm not holding out a ton of hope for this one just yet, as the devs are being unnecessarily vague on a great many points (and probably trying to please too many different fanbases), but as of now I can say that WoT isn't going anywhere soon for me.

That would be nice if they use the same scouting and line of sight that way people actually have to work as a team instead of free for all that WoT has turned into maybe that because i play with randoms on WoT. Hopefully when people come over to play MWO the people from WoT will have learned the concept of teamwork by then.
