I remember the Raven in Mechassualt 2. I was never good with it. It always seemed too fragile for my reckless tactics.

I have to say that all the designs to date have not done much for me. The reinterpretations seemed less like Battletech and more like Armored Core…or some other anime.

This one, however, really hits the Battletech feel for me. Two thumbs up!

Out of morbid curiousity, do you happen to like the looks of the Unseen?

looks awsome!!
My only issue is that I wish the nose hooked down a little like the original, un-like a ravens beak where it got its namesake.

keep up the goodwork.

Well, they broke the seal on the 3050 mechs.

I am still not sure if the better plan would have been to keep pounding out 3025 mechs just to get them out of the way, also there is the fact that the Raven so top of the line tech wise, there is little to change/modify on it.

FD's art is fine, I don't understand the complaints. If they ever do the Locust, I can see the same design being implemented, as just the body would be changed.

acturaly the raven is a 3025 mech it just wasnt effective to the return of lost tech

3039, actually. The RVN-1X first saw service in the War of 3039.

If it wasn't in the 3025 TRO, it wasn't a 3025 mech. It wasn't in the 3039 TRO either and came out in the 3050 TRO. So don't give me that crap that it was a crappy mech back then, because it didn't exist back then. That is just lazy writing/game development. No one plays it in it's 'crappy' versions, they only play the 'stuffed to the gills' lost tech versions.

FASA could have grown a pair and called it what it was, a new mech. But they were under the delusions of 'giving it a history'. If they wanted to give it a damn history, you make it a modified Jenner that became it's own mech because it is so different now. But hey, that is why FASA circled the drain and shut down in 2001.

It's a little different, but I like it. My first reaction when I saw it was 'cool!' so I'll stay with it. The drawing from the 3050 TRO is awesome as well, so one can certainly nitpick, but I'm not gonna try to over-analyze it. It looks cool, fits in great with the idea of Role Warfare, so two thumbs up.

You guys need to think about adding things like Narc Missile Beacon, C3 Computer Systems Master/Slave, TAG, ECM, Artemis IV Fire Control System. Those would really give a boost to a smaller mechs to be able to hit an enemy with a Narc while the big boys come in and pound on them. As well as have a C3 Slave unit to help radar of the big guns get a bigger range of radar.

I like the 'Mech but not the art that doesn't look right at all :(

This to me is what a raven should look like (a bird!)

Can the person who created the mechs (all of them) please look at this site for inspiration -

and not this one -

i'm sorry but that looks stupid as hell. and impractical.

so you design a mech to have a bent bird beak for what reason exactly?

Only a few reasons I can think of.
1. A Sick persons idea of a cool design.
2. Acts like a nose cone of a jet and can house radar/computers/etc.

I preferred the sleek look of previous models tbh. Felt like it fit better with the stealth/ecm nature of the mech.

I miss the iconic curved nose. If an Alt version of this appears for purchase, I will buy it. Currently, it looks like a bushwacker without arms... or a greyhound nose on bird legs.

Edit: I love all of the other designs. Big FD fan.

Raven was my fav mech from MW4, So I'm still keen on it, but I'm not a big fan of the new look. I prefer the torso to look curved like a birds beak. The new thinnner torso isnt too apealing.

Oh, in about... ten or so years if the developers stick to the current timeline. ;)
