What weight class and chassis is next?

It needs to be a decent heavy mech. I'm pretty unimpressed with the heavy mech selection so far.

I'm hoping for a Shadow Hawk, but it'll probably be a Dervish or a Trebuchet.

Heavy: Orion

Assault: Mauler

And since we just had an assault and now a light, I'd say the next is a heavy. So hopefully and realistically, Orion. I'm trying to not jump on the bandwagon that's clamoring for Unseens, since I think it's unlikely (though obviously desired).

For lights we have: Commando, a Jenner, and a Jenner wannabe (althgough the locust stylings are a nice touch)
For Mediums we have: a Hunchback and Centurion
Heavies weigh in with: Dragon, Catapult
Assualt: Awesome, Atlas

I think we NEED more variety in the medium department, but as this weeks shows it isn't what is missing, it is... well, what it is.
So my random guess is the Orion, it has seen favorable polling, and represents the higher end of the heavy category.

Please let it be a heavy. Right now we have an undergunned, overgrown scout and a missile boat that the devs said can't survive on its own. And these are our heavy mech selections? Don't work so hard to make light mechs relevant that you overcorrect and make heavies and assaults nerfed. We need a battle line heavy - Please!

Heavies are not uber-mechs, you'll need to run with support or you're going to get owned by light(s) + arty support.

As it has been stated...and frankly as it should be.

I'll take a Warhammer or Dervish, please.

I'm not asking for an ubermech. I'm asking for a heavy mech that either (has a weapon heavier than an AC5), or isn't a dedicated missile boat support mech. The Orion and Blackknight aren't ubermechs - but they would certainly be an upgrade over what we have right now.

If they follow the light medium heavy assault reveals like they have been then the next mech will be medium.

Dervish looks likely as it is a fire support mech in the medium class. The Hunchback is traditionally a brawler, the centurion was desighned to guard fire support mechs while provideing some support through its LRM 10. I could see FD makeing the dervish look pretty sweet as well though I personally will not pilot one.

Must admit I would like to see a Heavy , i like the dragon (long as i can do a Grand dragon job) but Black Knight or warhammer (tissue armour i admit but dual PPCs) would be great

I certainly hope it is a medium. Preferably a faster one since the centurion and hunchback are a little slow for my tastes.

Warhammer or Rifleman is what I would like to see. We need some decent direct-fire 'Mech-of-the-line Heavies, as they tend to be the bread and butter of 'combat Mechs, and many of them are fan-favorites.
