Strangely enough I have heard stories about some guys buying them "fresh" over there. That can also come back and bite you in the [REDACTED] really fast though.

My only complaint right now? People on the internet who try to say Hawken is better than MWO. I'm not saying Hawken is bad, I in fact think it looks very good, especially considering the small Indie team behind it, and that they are also going F2P despite not having a pre-existing fanbase. The games are just way too different in all aspects, and yet there are plenty of people on various gaming news sites, and even our own forums, who are just trashing MWO because Hawken appeals more to the casual crowd. I'd honestly bet that many of them played MechAssault way-back when, but don't realize the franchises are related (at least, not until they release a really iconic mech like the Timberwolf). I honestly blame the whole MW3 vs BF3 or similar recent fiascos for this. If you guys are having similar irks, my advice is to correct them (politely, just to show your superior intellect) and/or ignore them.

Hawken is mech based FPS and MWO is a mech based simulation game, they are not the same genre. So i normaly just stare at people like they are totaly stupid and have no clue what they are talking about. They normaly stop after a few minutes and tell them they are not in the same genre. Then the conversation switchs to them being in the same. There is no dealing with idiots. You just sorta have, well.. id rather just hit them with a bat.

There never has been any dealing with idiots, some of the guys I've spoken too didn't know what a 'genre' was.

There are times I hope that some of them are not real people, just because of some of the absolutely ludicrous stuff the'll say. Eh well, the internet is still worth the trouble it causes.

Honestly, I might be playing a little Hawken on the side. God knows I won't be able to get my friends into a slow-paced and strategic game like Mechwarrior (except 1 or 2 flight simmers). It looks good for what it is, and it isn't a mech simulation. It's seems like an FPS with 23rd century power armor. :P

BTW, that isn't a ghost bear, just a very large seal!
