I use most of those at one time or another, depending on audience and/or the code I'm typing at the moment.

Other.

The programming languages I am learining right now (9th place on the natinal programming competition in Logo - Imagine) do not recognize the negative, so I always just type equals the negative of what I want/do not want. ^_^

At least we finally started learning Pascal through Lazarus. :)

You're missing some obvious choices: \neq (LaTeX) and /= (Haskell, Algol, Fortran, LISP)

Since I wrote my Bachelor Thesis in LaTeX, \neq is the only way to do it right for me :D

Edit: Hm ... seems I'm the only nerdy mathematician around here ^^

Either "not equals to" or ≠ depending on the situation.

Not a programmer, however I have come across it enough times on the internet. So it works just fine.

!= only when programming, =/= any other time because most people can figure out what =/= means.

I'm a programmer, so the one that makes most sense to use is !=

Or its because I have logged a bit of time with booleans and if statements...

≠ when I'm doing something formal and feel like inserting the character; != for quick use
