lets start with some of the things I know

game is in closed testing. open beta will begin some time this summer.

there are three mech wieght classes Light, Medium, Heavy. There is 4 jobs. scout (light to medium mechs)assult defender and commander(medium and heavy mechs)
lights:Jenner, Raven, Commando
Mediums:Centurion, Dragon, Catapult, Awesome
Heavy:Atlas, Hunchback

there is one pilot(you) and you can skill up your pilot to unlock diffrent gear for you mechs.

you will be able to change out wepons. change armor groupings.possibly change how your mech looks (eventualy I hope like a diffent head design).

Questions that I have have not found answers for just yet

1.)How many slots will I get to have just starting as in how many mechs in my bay? I think I saw the number 4 some where can this be verified?

2.) Is there a place already where I can plan out mech designs and load out or should I just wait for the game?(If there is can you plz post a link)

3.) why should I join a hose or a mech group?

4.)Any other questions you think I might be in need of asking?

There are 4 weight classes. Light (up to 35T), Medium (Up to 55T), Heavy (Up to 75T) and Assault (up to 100T)

Lights: Raven, Commando, Jenner
Mediums: Centurion, Hunchback
Heavies: Dragon, Catapult
Assault: Awesome, Atlas

As far as roles, they were last reduced down into 3: Assault/Defender, Scout and Commander. This may not be final though. All Mechs have Mech Efficiency Trees for each of those roles.

1. Unknown.
2. None that utilizes the MWO system. Beta will probably be the first access to any such tool.
3. Nope.

And yet, the wise and mysterious Aegis ninja even usurped the master.

well i think some merc unit will allow you to go off and come beck later but i don't know how will it worl with house because we here that you will lose LP if you don't play game for some time but trick is we don't know how much time it need to pass when you start to lose points.

Playing with a house gets you rank, and the right to join some elite units. Not stated the advantage of elite units yet, but there may be certain battles only available to the elite, though that is just my speculation for now. You also get some funding from the house missions, and you consistently fight for your house. You also consistently fight alongside the same people in your house, which may be good if you share a common philosophy.

Playing with a merc unit gets you pay from the houses that hired you, and IIRC the more powerful merc units may control certain systems as well. You can fight alongside an entry restricted group of friends, and you have a bit more flexibility in choosing missions since you can fight most battles after choosing an employer in advance.

As a lone wolf, you have no loyalties to anyone, and you get the most flexibility - you can fight for the FRR one day, and the Combine the next. However, IIRC you get the least pay for your efforts, and you'll be operating on a semirandom basis since there's nothing tying you down to any campaign or locale. If you don't quite like to deal with people that much, lone wolf options provide a 0% politics guarantee for you.

Basically:

House = Much money + Rank + Large group play + Next to no flexibility
Mercs = Above average money + Small group play + Increased flexibility
Lone wolf = Least payout + No need to find a group + Maximum flexibility

If I made any mistakes, please correct. Thanks.
