How many CPU cores will MWO actually use?

I think the CryEngine3 can utilize as many as the game developer wants, but just because it can use say eight cores, doesn't mean that the game code will be written to be able to use that many.
I did find this interesting on the old engine
and was wondering if any of that would be relevant to MWO or if it will actually be able to use 4 or 8 cores. Anyone heard anything about any of this? Just curious.

I've been due for an upgrade to my rig for a while now and I'm holding off until I know what I need for MWO.

Plus or minus 1 for rounding errors.

How many the engine will really need is probably something more like four.

That is the engine and it's based on the CryEngine 3 which means that multicore CPUs are already in use. The devs aren't working on building the engine, they are pretty much working on the game's content exclusively.
That is what flushable coolant is for, right?

That's yet something else one can gather from Crysis 2's performance characteristics (and that of games in general)

Grammar Nazi win
and probably 6 cores given that 4 is already getting standard and 6 cores are already available and this is a "cutting edge" engine.
