WolfDragon Ghost, I just want to clarify one thing after reading your signature; It is totally possible to "Take your sky away from you", Case in point; Alderaan.

what a name... anyway, that technically was taking the ground out from under them. and last time i checked, this is mechwarrior online in the battletech universe, not the star wars universe. just sayin

Not too thrilled regarding the new mech/s introduced by PGI in May so far, or in other words (not very diplomatric either) the Cicada is definitely not a mech type of my choice ...

... however, I would be fairly impressed, if one of the following four mechs (one for each class) were to be announced this May for the launch of MWO ...

... Firestarter

... Phoenix Hawk

... Grashopper

... Hatamoto(-Chi)

Ryuu only 1 mech on your list has me interested. The Hatamoto-Chi. Gotta say tho, the current lists of mechs, only one or two of them have my interest, but then again, I prefer clan mechs so who knows lol

The Cicada wouldn't have been my first choice either, but they made it look good and will be a suitable replacement for a Locust. If anything, given that we can modify these things, it's preferable to a Locust.

Alot of people aren't taking into consideration, the only mechs being added, and have a chance of being added are manufactured before 3049.

The mechs didn't all magically appear one day, brand new and shiny. Alot of them aren't even produced until after the clan invasion.

I hope to see both the Longbow and Crossbow get introduced at some point, though preferably the Longbow before the start of the game so that we've got an assault class fire support 'mech to work with. Love that thing.

I-- I don't understand... Why do you.. Why do people want stuff from the future? From DECADES in the future? D- Did they really do it?! Did they include a time machine as 'tech you could attach to your 'mech in the later iterations of the game?!
It's 3049 right? That IS when this game is set right?

If they put a Rifleman in the game it better be able to flip its arms. I'll be happy if I can just get my Victor...

Dude, the Longbow and Crossbow have been in production for 500 years in our time frame. Do some goddam research.

Panther, JagerMech, Assassin, Dervish.
Also the Charger
A few others: Victor, Orion, and the Cyclops

EDIT-Forgot these:Vindicator and, if you have the Centurion you have to have the Trebuchet.

Who wants this?

I love the Blitzkrieg for the TT. Ultimate Light Mech killer, though I prefer the PPC variant. Unfortunatly, not introduced until 3061.

While I can understand your desire for superior mech technology (clan omnimechs), Rejarial, frankly, I would like to see an old school approach, having the full potential of Inner Sphere mechs and technology exhausted before the developers even consider bringing the Clans and their technology to MWO. Possibly, this is because I would like to be provided with the full picture (all options available) before moving on to the next stage/higher level, so that everyone (especially, those who also like the early days of BattleTech prior to the clan invasion) gets to choose their favourite approach and nothing is left behind or forgotten on the way to a more advanced gaming environment. The Firestarter is a highly specialised mech, therefore, justifying its implementation, the Phoenix Hawk is possibly the most verstaile Inner Sphere mech of them all (maybe not as iconic looking as a Marauder - although I would contest that - but certainly more versatile for combat applications), the Grashopper is also quite unique in its weight class and a formidable allrounder, and the Hatamoto-Chi is well ... you know and agree on that one :) ...

Ah well, I have a different opinion on that as I would have prefered the looks and features of the lighter Locust by lengths over that of the Cicada, not being too impressed by the new looks of the latter (I actually prefer the original ones). Moreover, I would reckon that the (Unseen) Locust is much more iconic and would overall be much more popular than the Cicada, but then again, it is better than nothing and I am sure some people will want to check it out .. not me though ...

I'd like an old 'vulture' (forgot the other variant name now... :/), but I used to use it with jumpjets..was one hell of a scout.

The Mad Dog?

In the interest of both fairness and my own selfishness, and because I keep thinking of these things, I'd like to see some multi-legged 'mechs make an appearance. Like, for example, the Scorpion and Goliath

I am more of a clanner myself. I guess I am more of the freedom of versatility given by OMNI rather than trying to make variants fit a given non OMNI hardpoint system. BUUT thats just me.

I hope the omni hard point system is just as restrictive.

That rather defeats the point of an Omni, doesn't it? I plan on staying IS, but let the Clanners have their fun when the Omnis come out. The Riddle of Steel still holds true after all.

Maybe. But it's not like Clan 'mechs need any more advantages and the hardpoint system they're applying to the IS designs is how the omni system was described as in most of the literature. If the devs set it up so that people can do whatever the heck they want with the space available to them (as the rule books specify, as opposed to story based descriptions) I won't cry, but I hope this advantage is balanced in some way. As it is, there's going to have to be a two to one advantage in favor of the IS in games to actually level the playing field.
