Highlander, maybe, but definitely won't be seeing any Orions for a while. Orions are Clan tech, and not just any kind of clan tech either, they're one of Clan Wolf's most revered 'mechs. It's safe to say we probably won't be seeing the Orion for quite some time.

*** are you smokin' mate? I want some ;)

Orions are Star League Era made, they've been around for /centuries/. Just cuz Kerensky piloted one doesn't make it clan tech. He piloted one BEFORE THERE WERE CLANS.

So... no, you're just misinformed on that on a massive scale.

Orions aren't clan tech.

My bad, I got it mixed up with the IIC, whenever there's a Clan version of an older battlemech, it's hard for my to differentiate the information after I've read it.

Im pretty sure theyre HARDER to kill, having 4 legs, and legs being more armored than arms on bipeds, gives them higher maximum possible armor, also add their higher than average speed, lateral movement, ability to hull down, and may i ask WHERE did you run quads before? if it was in mechwarrior 2 there's a reason why they were easy to kill: they were low armored 25 ton lights (it has speed of 129,6kph, the jumping distance of over 200 metres, and im pretty sure 360* torso twisting with lateral movement) and in what way do they lack maneuverability?

you can say the same about the bushwacker, which has a low profile or the crab, theyre quite flat too
Oh and unlike the jumpjetting heavy that can barely reach 60kph, quad like scorpion could simply strafe out of the way, while you're unable to change direction while jetting am i right?

Fail to see my Kodiak coming up behind or from either side, and fail to move as my 100tons gets into the sky, your SOL period. 100 tons coming down from 90+ meters is going to land HARD.

Well if a 100 tons manage to sneak up on someone he's probably blind and deaf, And im pretty sure stock Kodiak doesnt have jumpjets.
Seriously how can someone NOT notice a ******* 100 ton assault mech sneaking up to someone? Im pretty sure i have a radar, and my mech could easily outrun you, the only thing you could outrun would be an urbie

stock no. Kodiak 2, which is what I prefer, because its faster and has a 120meter jump range. And not noticing a mech moving in is easy. Its called being to focused on whats INFRONT of you. Loss of Situational Awareness.

I dont need LoS for you to appear on my radar, and im pretty sure a lot of people check their radars every half a second due to paranoia, or is it just me? But seriously when it gets released and we get quads (hopefully) id really love to fight one out with you, see if you can sneak up on a neurotic paranoid pilot! who's checking over his shoulder all the time

Edit: Kodiak doesnt fit the timeline  id suggest highlander: HIGHLANDER BURIAL, but its even slower so, i really doubt youll SNEAK up on someone unless hes legged or afk

I'll see your Kodiak and raise you a Supernova, or a Warhawk.

if we're talking clan tech.

Only way I'm joining clans is if the timeline gets sped up to the point of the Rasalhague dominion, then I'll start piloting clan mechs, since I would've been in the FRR anyway.

But I refuse to choose a faction until I see the perks that they all get. lol

Edit: Damnit, got offtopic

Kodiak <stock first introduced 3001, 989 years from now. So, yeah, it IS in the time line. You get too focused on that mech your looking at down range, your radar fades from your vision, and I move in from a 120 meters away from the air, and crush ya like a bug. OR come from above ya from a cliff or a building <IF it will hold the thing up>

Dude, seriously.enough.Though if you really want to try weighing in on this about superior 'mechs. I've yet to see ANYTHING withstand more than three volleys from one of my customized Longbows. Clan tech or not, JJs or not. Six LRM20s fire-linked and target-locked on your *** leave nothing left. Range be damned, as more often than not I'm direct firing them anywise. And also, it's rather pathetic to get this worked up about a game. What are we, CoD players? Seriously, have some respect for yourself and others and don't flip out over things like "Hey, wouldn't it be cool if the Annihilator made an appearance?" because that's basically all this boils down to. Preferences are fine and all, but all of us should be better than "You suck because I don't like your 'mech ideas". Am I right?

Edit: Actually, I've got redress something, units with LAMS tend to take four volleys, because the anti-missile units take out about a third of the hellfire. At least I'm being honest, eh?

His cup is full Knut, don't even try you'll just get frustrated.

There is no reasoning with it.

I'd like to see quad mechs, the lateral movement is sweet and they can keep moving while being down /2/ legs, that's some sweet gyro's there. Out of the newer models, the 4 legged ones were the only ones that actually appealed to me honestly. Cept the Barghest, awesome chassis, horrible weapons imho.

I like the Great Turtle myself, of the newer ones, of course, I tend enjoy having lots of armor while I'm in combat

So youre implying that im stupid and cant focus on two things at the same time? wow im offended and how would radar fade from my vision? and how are you so sure that ill be focusing on some mech that isnt the 100ton lumbering scrapyard coming at me? for serious stop implying that a 100 ton mech can sneak up on someone without getting his mechwarrior evaporated in glorious PPC's fire? If ill see you on the battlefield, ill have your leg!

I think we can pretty much guarantee that it will not be a Clan Mech.... I personally think people need to forget about Clan Mechs until the Dev team announce something, It's probably going to be at least a year before we see anything Clan related let alone be able to pilot it.

Yeah, but, now that I think about it, it'd be cool to see the Annihilator make a comeback, the thing WAS pretty cool, even if it was one of the slowest 'mechs ever built.

That's up to the Dev team, not us. I wonder whether the next 'mech is going to round out the heavy or assault line

Dude, the Longbow and Crossbow have been in production for 500 years in our time frame. Do some goddam research.

The Longbow, perhaps, but it's earliest appearence that I can find was it's introduction in the TRO: 3058 so I may be mistaken there. However, assuming you're talking about the Crossbow omnimech here, we have a ways to wait. And please, profanity isn't necessary, my comment was mostly with regards to the people begging for Uziels from the future :P
