The Longbow, perhaps, but it's earliest appearence that I can find was it's introduction in the TRO: 3058 so I may be mistaken there. However, assuming you're talking about the Crossbow omnimech here, we have a ways to wait.

As to the remark about profanity, I was having an irritated moment, but I was referring to the original 60 ton Crossbow from 2468, and according to Sarna, the Longbow's also been in use since the days of the Star League. Personally I think the Crossbow would be a good addition to the game, not as a fire support 'mech, though. Since it's got a better base speed than the Catapult the Crossbow would make a good raid en point 'mech, as long as you switched the LRM10s in its arms for SRMs, in that way it'd be a good 'mech for targeting specific parts of other 'mechs.

Just had a thought; The Orion and the Orion IIC are exactly the same tonnage, when the Clans get introduced I wonder how many death matches there'll be between the two 'mechs

So youre implying that im stupid and cant focus on two things at the same time? wow im offended and how would radar fade from my vision? and how are you so sure that ill be focusing on some mech that isnt the 100ton lumbering scrapyard coming at me? for serious stop implying that a 100 ton mech can sneak up on someone without getting his mechwarrior evaporated in glorious PPC's fire? If ill see you on the battlefield, ill have your leg!
i think you implied stupidity. I never implied nor indicated you were such. When your being torn apart by an assault lance, the last thing your going to do is look behind or to your sides when all the fire is coming directly down your muzzle. As your taking fire and taking heavy damage from them, odds are bloody good you will fail to see me, or if you do, in time.

I want you to pay close attention to me here Stormeris. If your focused solely on looking for a mech coming up behind you or from the sides, then guess what, your NOT seeing the mechs hammering you from front. The same holds true in reverse. Focus only on that which is doing damage to you, and that little blip on the map coming closer that ISNT firing at you, gets shuffled by your mind into the: not a threat yet, lets deal with what IS a direct threat, here and now! category. I am sorry, you do not have the ability to focus 100% on the mechs hitting you, your port and starboard views as well as your aft view. SOMETHING will get past you, and it could very well be a 100 ton assault mech with jump jets that made bloody well sure to NOT fire on you until you proved you didnt see it. Oh, should also mention, if you turn to face me, guess what, your now dealing with me, sure, BUT, what of the mech<s> that were tearing you apart before? SOMETHING will kill you. A DFA or a shot to the flight deck or a cored CT from behind. Bark all you like man, but, guess what, your going to eventually miss something critical on the battle field. Its why they call it: Fog Of War.

side note: that is a cute picture, even tho your tryin to insult me with it. Me and my army of attack cats and squirrels will take this world over and hand it to the clans!

Cuz everyone who plays has total and complete tunnel vision and doesn't keep their radar and doesn't try to adjust to make sure they're not being flanked by an assault...

Kay.

Got a bridge over here you may be interested in too.

I wasnt trying to insult you, im simply showing how a 100 ton mech looks like when its trying to be stealthy :D
And you keep saying the same things over and over and over again, look i often play a sniper in fps and even with the restricted tunnel vision im easily able to hear and notice spies trying to OHK me (Tf2), dodge spinfusor discs in while sniping a pixel from across the map while its moving 300 kph (tribes), If i can notice scrawny completely invisible people sneaking up on me, whjat makes you think i wont notice a lumbering 100 ton, loud GIANT robot >.>

The simple fact that I can promise you that like me, you will never be TOTALLY 100% aware of EVERY LAST LITTLE noise and detail going on around you. There will be moments because you did not sleep well 'last night' or your gf/bf/husband/wife is yelling at you about something or you have a hang over or a head ache or your child is sick or some other distraction yanks your attention away from totality in the game and thats when the 100 ton mech gets behind you unnoticed and jumps on your back like an angry chimpanzee.

OR if your like me, you have this annoying lil cat that seems to think laying right on your keyboard or standing infront of the monitor is a good thing when the poo hits the fan. lol

I guess I am unlike you, because I train my peripheral vision to keep an eye on the radar. That way when I notice red dots trying to sneak around behind me or even just flank me and get out of my line of fire I can adapt to the shifting battle lines. I'm not always successful (Damned Owens in MW4 were annoying) but against something that big and slow... yeah, never, ever, been flanked by something that big.

Uziel isn't even a prototype yet at the current timeline.
