First wave hit the Inner Sphere in April-ish of 3050. That'd be April-ish of 2013 here.

Give the Clans time to invade the pirate worlds. We will be playing Inner Sphere Mechs until March-May or so next year, 2013. They are going real life day is a standard Terra day for the Inner Sphere. Clans first wave happens March 3050, or for us 2013. Today in the Inner Sphere is May, 3rd 3049, well for a couple more hours at least.

Kaemon's new player info is a great start, let me toss you the link. http://mwomercs.com/...-pretty-please/

Some kudos points for using Timber Wolf. I hear Mad Cat too often.

Same here. Just past couple years have I really gotten back in to MechWarrior. Battletech as a whole has just dragged me back in. Well, not whole. Mostly the Clans. Welcome to MWO forums, should be a Mech of a good time :D

Clan names are cooler anyways :/. I've got a Mechwarrior 2 poster with a Timber Wolf up in my room. Also one of the technical blueprints.

Seriously how can you like the innersphere nick name Madcat compared to the TimberWolf, Like saying Hell Bringer compared to Loki or Summoner compared to Thor.. Clan names rock & should be called exactly that. Executioner is gargoyle. Direwolf is daishi. Warhawk is Masaraki, but actually masaraki sounds ok. I still call my uller Kitfox

eeepp i mean executioner is gladiator :P

The clans aren't always the best at naming... TimberWolf is a good name, but Summoner isn't. I hear Thor, and I expect to see something big and heavy hitting. I hear Summoner, and I expect to see someone drawing a magic circle somewhere. If a Clanner could explain what a Summoner is supposed to summon, I'd be very grateful, at least until I can think up the appropriate snarky response.

Summoner of death/destruction something along those lines, shortened to Summoner?

Maybe even Summoner of the might of the Falcon's Fury?

Then they should have named it Harbinger. Hits more ominous notes. Summoner would fit a scout mech better, since once it sees you, it summons its fellows.

Clan names may be preferable, I mean After all, Pual has said we aren't getting our friggen Mad Cat, but he's said nothing about if we could get a Timber Wolf...

(While I jest, There may be some truth to that statement if IS pilots don't have access to Clan mechs for balancing reasons.)

Personally, I really enjoy the whole story behind how the IS name came about, a computer glitch that can't decide if it's a Marauder or a Catapult, The Designations of which are MAD and CAT, it was just that big of a startling unknown that it literally confused the equipment which kept trying to define it as something it could understand. Since Mad Cat is a cool enough name to stick, thus it does. I think it is a really cool bit of flavor in just the story of that name.

So much of the invasion was truly shocking an unexpected as to totally just blow away the IS (in ways other than just literally). Since we all know whats coming we'll miss out some of that epic feel, but honestly I hope they keep us way in the dark about the clan stuff until we get hit with it.

Do ya'll get the concept of "The game starts before the clan invasion"?

So I'd venture a guess and say, 2013 you get your clans.

I call them by their IS names because I play pretty much exclusively from the IS side of things and grew up using their IS names due to TRO:3050. I'm sure that's the case for many people.

If I'm using something made in China, I don't call it by it's Chinese name, I use English. ;)
