Hair bands FTW!
Judas Priest,Black Sabbath,Quiet Riot, Alice Cooper. ect. If your a fan of that type of music and are open to newer bands with the same sound i would suggest...
Hammer fall - No sacrifice and Templars of steel
Saxon - Crusader, Live to rock, Come rock of ages
If your looking for a cool sound and willing to check it out, Nightwish - The islander, It doesnt fit in with any of the stuff I listed above, but its a really cool song/music video

Not sure I'd put JP, Sabbath, or Cooper in the Hair band grouping, but they are definitly classic Metal.

And if you like the Nightwish sound, I've found:

Good point, sabbath predates hair bands by almost a decade but i think cooper could still be in there as he was part of TS and the songs of his that I listen to the most are the ones that sound like hair metal. I wish i could check out the videos you posted, but my connection sucks due to being deployed.

Cooper and Sabbath are contemporaries. HE started doing his thing back in the '70s along side Sabbath and Priest.

And keep safe out there, bro.

Personally, I'm a fan of tungsten and mercury, though I'm also partial to gallium and magnesium :P

This!!!

I dated a woman about a year ago who looks very VERY close to the lead singer AND the beginning of this video is where I got the slogan for the Grimm Reaper Company!

Interesting facts about this video.

The drummer remains faceless because they hadn't signed one yet.
The lead signer was pregnant when this video was shot (for the third time). Sadly, it was not mine.

I love metal. It is a larger part of my life than just about anything else. I listen to it 24/7, I play guitar, and I compose my own music.

I have not posted about it on here though because I do not really know what to say or talk about regarding metal.

In regards to MWO's music, I am hoping that it comes with its own soundtrack, and I am hoping it is a mix of really epic orchestral stuff (Dawn of War comes to mind) and really heavy metal with double bass and tremolo riffs.

If MWO does not come with its own soundtrack... I will probably be listening to Skyfire, Septic Flesh, Amon Amarth, and a large assortment of quality power metal :D

Does anyone remember that one track in Mechwarrior 4 Mercs that started out with a really fast double bass line with a 6+2 eighth note snare pattern? I can not find it on youtube at the moment, or else I would show you. I remember it sounding in all the really intense fights in that game, especially the Davion mission where you had to defend against an attacking company of mixed heavy/assault mechs.

Nice Grimm! Now I want to make me some mead! lol

Oh, Catharsis, I don't know what track you are talking about per se, but I do compose music as well. Although, I don't have a guitar/bass hook up, so most of my music is made through a MIDI interface with Logic Pro 8. I dabble mostly in instrumental tracks, varying between anything and everything you can think of :)

I have all this for video game music production, of all things. lol I do have a website, link is in my profile.

And now, another metal song!

Anyone else love Tenacious D???!?!

I know I do!

Oh my god, Gorgoroth. Also Marduk, Hellhammer, and Bathory for one of the greatest intros ever. Their song Nordland. Amazing.

Metal... my listening would be so boring without it.

Currentlly, I'm listening to a lot of Blind Guardian, Nightwish, Van Canto, Arkona, Lordi, and X Japan.
