You know it becomes an atlas if you use a moonstone on it.

Highlander used Highlander Burial!

...

IT WAS SUPER EFFECTIVE!

This is all part of the Pony Power agenda for Big Cute. You think the love of the Urban Mech and the large MLP group in BattleTech are a coincidence? The Urban Mech is the Trojan Pony to get cuteness a foothold in MechWarrior. Once the walls have been breached, their leader, Pink Thunder, will rain down rainbow explosions of pure kitten and destory our favorite IP. Fight against the Urbie my brothers! Keep BattleTech greasy and ugly!

I think you stumbled upon a big conspiracy here... the Iluminati must be involved, working together with Pony loving terrorists (and yes, preaching love and friendship through superior firepower is terrorism) in a grand scheme to take over the BT universe (WoB are amateurs in comparison).

But more serious now: If you have/want to create images for a wide variety of designs in a short time, it is both easy and viable to re-use bits and pieces of already finished designs. That's how I would explain the similarities between the Urbie and the Jaeger and the Jaeger and the Zeus.

Just like in real life, you can have a chassis that is the basis for many models of vehicle in differring class of vehicle. I'm sure it's designed that or the artist just really liked that type of style stance/build :)

I kinda hope they bring this into the game. Now all i can think of is if I knock it over on a hill, will it just come rolling down and bowl me over?

I'm wondering: if you get ten urbanmechs to stand in a triangle, what sort of bowling ball should you use?

As ugly as the trash-can on legs is...
I feel sad for it. It reminds me of the "Forever Alone" guy. Except its worse at fighting from what i gather.

I'm telling you, man. You can't skimp and buy those off-brand moonstones.

Skimp? Off-brand? The Imp is outstanding! A far better mech than an Atlas. Also much more rare and collectable.

The Urbanmech is very specialised, very unglamorous and pretty cheap, so unused and unwanted chassis often get cannibalised to see if some one can get some more use out of all that junk. The Jagermech was one of the least successful attempts, the Flashman one of the most successful.
