I currently live in Singapore and will suffer around 300 ping if I played on American servers, this creates a hard limit on the enjoyability of the game and performance of a player.
Roles such as scouting and long range sniping becomes harder to play with high ping and will force players to choose short-medium range "tanky" mechs for better survivability. Further, nobody's going to want to have a lagger on their team. As it stands, there are lots of games with servers that will kick if your ping exceeds 100 and I reckon teams will quit and retry if they end up with a lagger while being matched.
[TL;DR] So I'd like to know if International servers will be rolled out, and if so, where? [/TL;DR] If not, why not? You'll lose quite a few players who have nothing better to do with their money than buy pink paint for their mechs.
As far as my experience tells me playing online in the South-East Asian region, servers in:
Perth, Malaysia, Singapore can serve the region effectively and has a player base that speaks and understands English. (10 ping average from Singapore)
Thailand, Taiwan, Korea, Japan boasts good bandwidth too - but if you don't speak the language then you'll be lonewolfing without communication. (50-100 ping average from Singapore)
NZ, Non-Perth Aussie servers play poorly outside of their region. Lag connecting to those outside of the country is comparable to North American servers. (300 ping average from Singapore)
