I`ve been playing TT since 1995 with my friends. We created our own 3-D Landscape with Trees and Buildings. Played it old Style 3025 an made our own Multi-Fire-Rules for all Weapons which give the game a huge speed-up. AC/2 able firing 6 shoots in one round... make even the weakest mech interesting and bring us to new dimensions in Overheading :D. Also read almost all books and played all games. Specially loved Mechcommander2.

Played mechwarrior 3 back in the 90's, just scratching the surface of the table top game. Also I'm really looking forward to reading some mechwarrior/battletech books this summer.

Whatever year the name switched from BattleDroids to BattleTech. Thats the year I started. I went to look at my original box and in my move to my new house I seem to have misplaced it. That had better get fixed soon :-)

I remember walking into my local game store "Game Castle" and seeing the original TT box with a Warhammer on the cover back in 1984. I had to have it and my friends and I started our Battletech/Mechwarrior addiction ever since. I remember my buddy getting the Battletech: The Crescent Hawks' Inception video game and being in complete awe that there was a living, breathing computer game about Battletech. The addiction continued in force over the years to the point where we had almost 2 of every Ral Partha lead miniature painted and ready for actual TT battles on the 12 3'x3' green felt covered pieces of plywood. Spending summers cutting out styrofoam for mountains and terrain and air brushing all the details for the most immersive experience necessary was exhausting but well worth the effort. At one point my mother told me we had to remove the gaming environment from the front living room after it had been there for months in all its glory.

All the other video games to date were fun and well worth the experience, but would never be as exciting as actually having real miniatures to bring you that much closer to the Battletech experience and lore. I am extremely looking forward to MWO and cannot wait to get the ol' gang back together for a lance reunion.

Started with MW2, around 1994 - 1995 ... and since I put my hands on that Vulture/Mad Dog, my first time piloting a mech, it was like... "this is definitely for me". I can't wait for this new release and Im hoping to meet another good mechwarriors like before.

I started with Crescent Hawks Inception, but I truly became a mechwarrior when my father lent me his copy of Mercenary's Handbook. It may sound silly, but I fell in the with the Cost of Living side of gaming a mercenary unit...salaries, maintenance, consumables, and overhead. It gave the TT experience a whole new perspective.

I bumped into a pile of tabletop BattleTech boxes somewhere around 1990 but never really had anyone to play it with. Rules were a bit too complex to teach to my younger brothers and I was around 7 years old back then. Last winter was the first time I actually found out that some locals are TT fans.

I did see some MW2 action briefly but only really got into MechWarrior series when the third one came out and I actually had access to a computer capable of running it.

I played my first game of Battledroids in '84. I saved all year to buy a copy myself and saw it replaced by BattleTech just in time for my birthday in '85. I hung out a few times at the BattleTech Center at North Pier in highschool but I never gave up my love of the miniatures. Now I find myself painting up a new battalion for our local campaign.

I have been playing since college. I have played TT and PC. I believe I have played all of the PC versions. I do not think I played all of the additions for each game. Friend of mine got me a whole carton of mechwarrior game cards. I think I have 4-6 full decks, plus a bunch of additonal cards.

i played the old commodore 64/128 battletech game in 88 or 89, the beginning of the cresent hawk theme... in 90 or 91 i bought the boxed set for TT, kept me sane throughout a tough time of many many hospital visits.. the only battletech stuff that i haven't done is the mechcommander games and the simulators...

Let's put it this way, I was playing the NES before I knew how to read, and the first thing I learned how to do on my dad's computer was how to type CD:/Mech2 into DOS.
