How many till we hit 100k members? (don't know where the counter is)

I wonder if the developers have some surprise lying in wait for us for when we hit the 100k mark....A new mech perhaps...drooolll.

Actually, as Russ/Bryan have said multiple times on this forum, the counter at the bottom of the website is VERY off. They never indicated by how far, but I think it's not unreasonable to assume that we're sitting around 150,000+ pilots.

Here's to hoping they all love the end product. :)

I quit caring when they didn't release new mechs at every milestone.

As Aegis previously stated, that's (I believe ) the number of people who have registered AND posted in the forums. The actual number of pilot names registered is much higher.

I concur, it bodes well for a game barely into beta.

Cheers.

Agreed, but we need to find a way to get MWO's Facebook page member count up. Currently it's sitting at 15 860 where as Tribes: Ascend is sitting at 490 421 at the time of this writing.

The real question is "how many players that spend at least X dollars per month" is required for the game to be profitable enough to support and stay around for us to enjoy.

I seriously doubt Piranha is ever going to tell us that number and dollar value....those types of things are generally business secrets that companies keep to themselves. ;) But I have no doubt that somewhere, someone has done the math.

I wish you guys the best, but as it stands, Facebook and Twitter-only events are a current form of publicity segregation that currently negatively affects me. The Twit Chat is tomorrow, and though I cannot participate because I refuse to use social media sites, I am hopefully looking forward to some good info as a positive outcome.

I'm playing around with the idea of making a twitter account just to participate.

Wait, how do we know this, other than having a friend register now and look at his key in his profile URL.
