From my oppinion the style is ok for a desktop background as it is not very intrusive. But the centerd Logo's are a no go.
People who put a MWO image on there desktop already know about the game and who made it. A smaller logo in the corner would be enough.

That Dragon looks SO Much better since they gave it the needed actuator and pivot on its arm. It's a very nice chassis that, by default, comes with slots for any weapon type.

...not a fan of the typography though...

I definately would not use an "in your face" logo for my desk top, but remove it and there is no point of focus to the picture. I would prefer a little more detail somewhwere in the shot.

Come, let's not argue over how the desktop could be better - I've made the ONE DESKTOP IMAGE that will end ALL OTHER DESKTOP IMAGES... even if it doesn't fit any desktop at all!

Find a resolution closest to a 1.77 aspect ratio and you should be fine, it shouldn't look too weird. Actually 1600x900 is the exact ratio you need, use it.

I gotta say, this would make a much better poster than a desktop. The logo is a bit too overbearing contrasted with the washed out actual image. I know you want the background washed out for use as a desktop so there's not so much visual clutter when you have your desktop icons slathered all over it, but then the logo pops out too much in comparison. Overall, either tone down the logo a bit so it can be used as a desktop, or bring up the background and turn it into a poster.

doesnt really take much to remove lettering if it offends you to much. Alittle time in photoshop or gimp.

Ah, but I'm inept with photo retouching. You, on the other hand did an awesome job. I think the fan made tweaks and touch-ups on screen shots will continue to be amazing.

Like the wallpaper, only change I would have made would be to fade the Mech Warrior Online logo slightly so it wasn't quite so in your face, other than that I really like the subtle silhouette of the Mech
