Work in Progress perhaps?

But that's okay I'll jump on the bandwagon too!

Hey, that cockpit isn't right! You are making my Jenner feel the same as all the other mechs! How dare you release it like this!

Okay that's enough silliness for now

Nah come on! you could do more :D

Something that I would like to see is the ability for your viewscreens to be damaged and leave you with just the window to look through.

Its the Jenner's Command Center, it is only a cockpit if the person inside is a dick.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned this...

If the Jenner cockpit view window matched the concept art... it would be a pretty crappy scout mech. Isn't the whole point of the Jenner's extended cockpit to allow the pilot the ability to look left and right (instead of having his view obstructed by the "arms")? As a recon pilot who prefers the Jenner I hope the cockpit view remains the same or if they change it they keep the wide view. It wouldn't match the concept art but I think this is one of the few times where that would be a good thing.

I think it was brought up at some point but no answer... I copied the OP and put in in a quote on the DEV Q&A3. So with luck we will get our answer in a few days.

Root Cause: Communication between art, rendering and developers was lacking on this one.

Somebody find the Jenner in a game play video.. see how it matches up? I bet it don't.

Again as long as they fix one, or the other, no need to complain but to say its fine as long as it don't suck, is like sneaking peanuts into an allergy clinic. Its wrong and detracts from the perfect experience that the devs are working so hard to accomplish.

Meh, concept art is just that, concept art.

I think the Jenner has a very high torso twist rate from the videos (specifically light mech walkthrough) which should make up for it even if they use the concept art's front window only approach (which does look cool).

This is about as close as you can get to seeing he Jenner's forward torso, and we can't see the windows clearly at all. Here's hoping we see some crisp money shots of the venerable Jenner soon :)

jenner has visible side windows on the outside, they simply aren't in the concept.

gameplay and final art naturally tends to diverge from the original concepts when necessary

That's a relief. All that worrying for nothing. Well onto the next subject.

Yeah, I fully expected a triplet of windows in the actual jenner model, too bad we don't have any pretty hero shots of the Jenner to show it ;)

Its a free game so don't complain. I still agree though but they probably have a beta model used for all mechs.

Windows are structural weaknesses. Geth do not use them.

PGI really needs to watermark/stamp every one of these videos/photos with a Alpha/Beta notice so that people don't take them as the final product. PGI's been fooling tons and tons of people who don't pay finite attention to every detail about the game.

MWO is a simulation game, the geekiest kind of game. We want our game experience to be as realistic as possible with a reasonable level of suspension of disbelief (clearly giant robots don't exist but we're willing to entertain the notion). That's a major part of what separates MechWarrior from the First Person Shooter genre. Personally I hate FPS games as I find the gameplay to be shallow but I love the depth that MechWarrior games have.
