It takes critical slot, and doing nothing but accessory for now.


Well, there is no close combat, and no collision yet... but can we expect some 'Passive Bonus(or something)' from Hand Actuator in someday ?

It might soak a crit and save a weapon? I know it will in table top.

Aren't they used to navigate arms?

Without them, your hands move much slower and harder to aim.

They are gonna add a function that lets you fire your hands at people, like SRMs except a gaint fist. They havnt released it yet because they fear the Atlas' rocket fist would be OP compared to the hunchbacks.

Hand actuators are for fapping...

This design concession is to appease the sensitive "Make love not war" types.

It's there so that you can bend your fingers in the required positions to flip off the enemy Mech.

I'm a glass if half full kinda guy.....I think they added a critical slot to that arm specifically so they didn't lose a critical slot for a weapon or piece of equipment. If the mech didn't have the hand, it wouldn't have the slot that it used anyway. :D

Back when collisions were in the game you could hit F to throw punches if you had hand actuators

Don't worry, ECM will probably still negate it.
