What a pain in the ***. The MX 1000 has worked great with every other game I have ever played.

There is option "start profile when *.exe started". Worked for my MX518.

What a pain in the ***. The MX 1000 has worked great with every other game I have ever played. I removed the Setpoint software and at least I can make 3 and 4 again but it is still less than optimal

I used to use a non-G-series logitech and it worked OK, but am on a g700 now so I dont use setpoint any more.

Have you tried disabling UAC? I know Corsair mice sometimes dont work properly without UAC disabled (Or running mouse software as admin), this could be the problem.
