, that should be enabled...once you tic boxs in your notifications from your profile edit. General settings , friends have to be enabled by tic as well.

I sent someone a message, then got to that screen from that area. The custom forum skin used here doesn't include a link to the private messaging module.

Gallows I sent you a test message if you enabled the popup notification it should show up now.

Looks like they just added PM and Notifications functionality into the forum theme (the little mailbox icon):

Good thing I am familiar with Invision Power Board layouts and noticed the little Red marker on the top right hand corner for the forums with the outline of a picture image shadow which tells you that you have a private message.

The skinning of these IPB forums are a bit weird. Not to mention that you can not change your avatar photo since that is normally right on top of the Time Zone settings when you edit your profile.
