Yes. Yes. Now just waiting for it to hit store shelves so I can post an update.

Though, I must say Nvidia fail on this one. Geforce GTX 650 is a 640 with GDDR5... i.e. complete and utter fail vs AMD card pricing... then we see another GK104 chip with the GTX 660ti and should kick *** at $250-350.

Pretty big leap in performance between something on par with a Radeon HD 6750-7750 to something on par with a Radeon HD 7950.
Nvidia, why only two chip architectures this year? lol

so seems things so far. if GK106 does surface however, that will be interesting to see.

So I was researching mobos a bit and found something amazing.

Asrock Z77 Extreme 4 is apparently compatible with HSF from LGA 775. Meaning if you're upgrading and already have a good LGA 775 HSF, you can knock $25 minimum off the price of the mobo.

I'll take Gigabyte over any of those other brands by far. For three reasons:

1) reliability
2) Heat dissipation
3) Fits well into any budget. And is Modular when it comes to the Processors (note: that happens with any other board out there. Just for facepalms sake).

I know, not much when it comes to name brands such as Asus and AsRock , but it lasts a good while before you need to upgrade to new one. I may not know diddly crappola to Graphic Cards, but this I do know. Take for instance, Gigabyte will last close to three-five years (I'm going on my fourth now: 890XA-UD3 AM3). I'm about to switch over to the G1.Sniper3 Gigabyte board in just a few weeks. Anyhoo, there's my opinion. And that's all it is: an opinion.

They're all pretty much equal going along with their 2 degree margin of error, even dropping the margin of error to 1 degree there are 9 tied for first place. Mayonnaise is no slouch either.

Prolimatech hits the lowest and is cheaper than tuniq on newegg though.

Just wanted to add: I'm using a G940 and I generally like it but have had problems. The problems involve the buttons and switches in the throttle. Basically the first one had several buttons that would not work if the throttle was in the forward half of it's travel. Logitech replaced it with a new one (customer service was great!), but now I've found the "mode" switch flickers back and forth while moving the throttle. Fortunately I only need one set of bindings so I can just leave it on mode 2 and it works ok.

(The mode switch allows you to switch between up to three different sets of button and axis bindings on the fly)

As mentioned in the OP, the centering kinda sucks and the dead zone is too big even set to zero. Nevertheless I have adapted and have been maintaining over a 4:1 kill/death ratio while using my G940.

click on the big green tab to test your systems specs, and it will tell if you can run it or not, and if your SoL, it will tell you what needs upgradeing changeing.
Thought i post this to help other players, and to hopefully cut down on the amount of "can i run this" thread that keep popping up

P.S it may be an idea if a mod or dev could sticky this, so it stays where other players can find it easier.

I have a Geforce 250 GTX SI and i been noticing if i go to zoom the game goes green and you see alot of bright green lights and some times the game flickers. When im in the mech bay the back ground has its own flashing lights but some times it will over lay the stuff im trying to click and its a pain and hurts my eyes when the game flashs bright and all you see is the back ground. I been looking at a 610 Geforce card because i cant aford the 680 after paying $120 for this game. Any idea of a graphic card that would be alot better but not over 100 bucks?

I'm confused... The link tells me I can't play because I'm still running windows XP but the faq clearly states that the game is DirectX 9 compatible. How can both be true? Is there an OS newer than XP that uses DirectX 9? I understand that vista and 7 are DX9 compatible but why would you run the game in DX 9 if your OS supports DX 10 or 11 and the game requires a DX10 or better video card to run?

Does your hardware meet the min specs? if so you can run it, as i know guys with XP running the beta, so the main thing to worry about is that your hard ware meets the specs.
@cinco, probaly becourse they either used the specs listed here on the forum, or they contacted the dev's, dont forget the specs have been up since since june, so easy enouhg for a site like yougamers to get hold of and make the test.

And that's exactly how they get the results - by playing the beta.

It takes all day to scan but it is otherwise a very helpful link. Sadly I am below the CPU recommended. It wants a 3.3 quad for max performance and I'm at 2.5. But since I'm on an obsolete 775 LGA socket I'll have to buy a whole new motherboard to get the socket to then upgrade the CPU, which also means another copy of Windows I am stuck getting too. That's about 500$ or more right there even if I salvage the entire rest of my computer. An ideal CPU by itself will... well just look...

You'd also get hyper threading. $$$ A friend of mine has that CPU and its destroys anything in its path, even the extremely CPU straining WvWvW in GW 2.(It's so intense there that most players will find themselves at a CPU bottleneck even with good processors. MWO is much less steep than that game, however.)

Confirmed my thoughts, CPU to weak (2,5ghz dual core) AND vid card not powerful enuff.
This is on a laptop, so no 'real chance' to upgrade it. Good news is it plays all my other mech games just great.
Bad news, I will need a new machine for MWO. Not currently in the budget. (Boo!)
Ah, who knows, maybe a couple of my guitars will sell and boomola, i be building a new machine and blowing up some mechs!!

@vettie, if cash is an issue, you can always buy parts you need over a period of time, and depending on where in the world you are, you could probaly find a retailer that will sell good budget motherboard bundles (that will met min specs, and even excede recamended specs) you can use as a base, then slowly add other bits you need like graphics, HDD's, PSU and so on.
For example, if your in the UK, you can get a good AMD 8 core CPU mobo bundle with 8gb of ram for just under £250.
so look around and get the best deals you can, and just build over time.

Yep, thanx Fynn. I have built so many gaming rigs for peeps over the years. I have an account in good standing with Tiger (North America). One of my test bed machines just got zapped by lightning earlier this week (power supply I am thinking, but others on same surge protector (even a machine that was ON) are ok, weird.)

Just had a lot of medical expenses (unexpected) lately as well as the usual stuff. Had to get my youngest daughters car repaired (shes in college and I already paid the tuition). Thats where the extra went, lol.

I will get there. i have a system (all the parts) picked out. It will just take some time. It will happen!

Although it says I can run the game it apparently only identifies my AMD FX 4100 quad core CPU as a dual core. Tried the Prototype link on the site as well, same result.

i dont think theyve updated for the newer FX cores yet, my m8 had the same with his FX4100, but said his was an Atlon IIX2........lol, and system requirment labs wont even id his CPU, says unknown CPU, but that was a few months ago on SRL site.
