Im 100% positive there never was DX11 support in MWO. The way I remember it when they updated to 3.4 they said DX11 was disabled because people were all hoping that it would be included at the same time when it wasnt.

As far as OP goes. Id say probably a bit better now. Some nice effects like JJ blast and some bug fixes like blank cave exits tip the balance.

There was no DX11 in closed beta, there was never publicly enabled DX11.

I was just looking through some of my old screenshots back when the client was still 'launcher.exe'... And they look way better than the game does now.
The older CryEngine 3 version ran smoother and looked better.

Wish I had screenshots that had more parity in what they displayed, but you can't always have that.

Is that a suicide farmer I see in 1 of the screenshots?

Yes, DirectX11 was enabled to be used but it was never fully implemented.

After the upgrade it had to be completely disabled.

I'm afraid you are incorrect... you are correct that DX11 was never fully implemented, but it was enabled during CB.

After upgrading to CE 3.4, they noticed issues with having DX11 enabled, therefore it was disabled and we are stuck with ONLY DX9 mode... whereas before the upgrade we did have a DX11 mode, even though DX11 was not FULLY implemented.

You could generally call it a beta mode for DX11... what we had at the time.
