It is said that the option to buy boosters with real money is there to help the people who has less time to play to keep up with the ones woh have more time (as well as reducing grinding time).

I say make that statment real. Use a battle counter for the exp/Cbill boosters. If a buy a boosters it last my next 10 battles so if dont have time to play today i know my booster will last for when i really use it. And not some arbitrary 3 days that force me to get playing on those days or i wasted my money.

This will also help every player because i know a lot of us will be spending crazy amounts of time in the mechlab, and that will mean that if we bought a booster we will feel a tiny bit pressed to engage battles and not be investiganting what we can do with the exp/Cbill the booster brought.

I think it would be better to be able to pick between the two, there are times when I would rather have it for X number of battles and other times when I know I'll be able to squeeze in a bunch of games in a few days.

battle counter but it should be big boost something like 100/150% xp/c-bills

small boost: 20 battles
medium boost: 40 battles
big boosts: 60 battles

i think its better to use battle counter because it makes sure you use it fully, if its time counter then something can come up and i won't be able to use it.

Why not both? I'll buy me a XX games booster for during the week when i can't get much play time in, and a X days one for the weekend when I'm gonna veg out and murderdeathkill.

Why not both? Other FTP games have implemented multiple kinds of boosters including time(in days), number of matches, and number of wins(maximizing profit returns for a limited number of 'charges' in the booster)

Well that sounds good. Added a third option for both boosters.

When games have only one option (usually time) for XP increasers, the reason usually isn't because they didn't think of having options more beneficial to players, but rather that it makes them more money because it isn't ideal for players. After all, if somebody bought an XP bonus for a month, you could only take full advantage of it if you spent 100% of your time playing the game, so people with little time still need to spend the same (larger) amount of money as people with lots of time.

I'd rather just buy XP outright, honestly. That way you know what you're getting for your money.

Double XP boosters or whatever aren't something I like, because they control the way I play while they're active. I won't want to waste one of my boosted games on, say, a 'mech I'm not levelling or a style that won't maximise my bang-for-buck, so the game becomes work and I feel like my options are narrowed until it wears off. I don't really enjoy that.

I'd rather just trade cash for a 'mech directly and be on my way.

I think both. the per battle would help folks who knew that this week they will probably only get on enough to fight 10 matches...but say its vacation time...well time to buy that 48 hour xp boost and see how long i can go without sleep.

League of Legends got both & sales of battle counter (in case of LoL count only victories) are far higer

Can't really argue against either but knowing how RL likes to raise it's ugly head in the middle of some games I'd probably lean to battle counter in case the phone rang and I had to dash off for a few days.

Now you have limited the sales to those with above average skill or the betting types. Better to have it apply to all XP earned during the match and award a small boost for losing than not sell the booster at all.

The Booster rate is applied to XP earned. One assumes a WIN nets more XP than a loss, as such if your on a Booster (not a fan btw) then winning would be the priority.

No reason to not do both - more variety = more chances to please your customers. Additionally, a 'monthly signup plan' would be nice too as an option, subscription style.
