First thing I've done with this. Yep, a scale:

Can you do one with each Mech turned sideways? To show the scale of those with extended torsos like the Cat and Stalker.

Yeah, I was adding them pretty randomly and something like that was simply bound to happen. And you forgot the Centurion, which is also in the wrong place. This has been just a simple test of how it would actually look and such, I will probably make a fixed and expanded version later on (proper row, a human model, and few other things I may come up with).

@ Cache: If you want something like that...

That is because both are poorly scaled, and Adridos just gave us proof positive of that. Catapult is a bit overlarge IMO too.

Of course the Mech scale is wonky as hell to begin with , so......

(and never noticed how out of whack the Jenner and raven were.. since BOTH are 35 tonners.....

I do' think so, they are properly scaled next to actual people.

so a 50 ton centurion SHOULD be size of 70 ton Cataphract? And almost half again size of Hunchback.. which has same weight? Catapult same size as Stalker... but 20 tons lighter? Raven same weight as Jenner but much bigger?

I must agree with Steiner, Mech sizes are all wrong in this. Game is fun anyhow though.

Centurion is so big, because it has such profile. It's really slim if you look at the side-view and has that middle part pretty tiny, while both Cataphract and Hunchback are "fatties".

I agree on Stalker, though, since you can pretty much stuff it inside the Catapult for some odd reason. :)

You can check the volume and surface area of the mech. problem is that those volumes aren't correct due to mesh construction. If they were entirely enclosed meshes you could just see what and by how much.

Could use a projection to make an enclosed mesh that shrinkwraps around the meshes surface and see that way though. But I can't be bothered to do it.

But for some not very accurate numbers, it tells me that the stalker is well over 20% more volume but has marginally more surface area compared to the cat.. But I know that's just wrong

Which .cfg file are you trying to access, and which version of Noesis are you using?

You need the Cryengine model plugin, from here: http://oasis.xentax....content=plugins Drop it in the plugins directory and go to town.

Does anyone know where all the "variant" geometry is, such as the CAT-K2 arms?

I've been toying with their content for few months now.

This picture should help with the idea in scale. Even I put Abram Tank from Crysis 1 in between Dragon and Atlas.
Yes, those two other vehicles are from River City.

Nice one. Is the Abrams scaled down or are the mechs really 20 meter tall (I mean, they are scaled to that pilot, but without knowing how teh pilot scales to the characters from other games, I wasn't sure)?

If it isn't, it would make one hell of a spectator mode from a normal FPS infantry camera.

There should be cga files for all that in the same folder as the scale model is found.
