I think none of these four will be starter mechs in their respective weight classes at release. Now they're offered for Operation Inception package because 1) they're readily playable (they were featured in videos unlike other announced and non-announced mechs) and 2) it would add some more "status apart from the crowd" for Founders to start with the 'mechs others have to unlock somehow.

Atlas and Jenner both look simply too powerful to be starters in their weight classes.

The fact they are custom skinned and modeled and probably never going to be availible after full release isn't going to be status enough? If they got different mechs (not reskinned/re moddled)from non payers don't you think all non buyers would go ballistic crying about p2w?

I would have thought 1 was a good reason they are the starting mechs.

I think the main power factor will be the pilot rather than the mech.

What ever happens I won't be Playing anytime soon. My laptop isn't anywhere close to powerful enough .

Think I'm going to go with the Hunchback. Besides its excellent artwork I am really looking forward to its variants, especially the P and SP. With the H, J, and N it can be an decent fire support unit as well, and of course who doesn't want to throw lead from an AC/20 now and again.

Gotta go Catapult on this one. I wanna use the K2 variant. Sounds perfect to me. I do lean toward assault mechs but I'm going hold off on that one.

its between Jenner and Catapult for me,jump jets is a must.. jenner is pretty tough for light
I believe he would slug it out toe on toe with Cicadas
and Centurions..

but the Catapult,so much sexapeal,everybody is fappin on K2 including me

I'm going to be adopting the Atlas. All four designs are good, but I would have preferred either a Centurion or Dragon. Since I can't have that, then a big stompy Atlas it is!

Although it doesn't directly state these are the starting mechs for non payers I cannot see them releasing 8/12 mech at the start (4 founder 4 poor ******* like me mechs)

I saw it before,I tought they are showing the Inception skins not that these would be the four starter mechs...
