I think they have done a great job on this one, should be a popular choice.

Did not expect the Cataphract. Seems kind of like a middleground between a solid armoured medium (Hunchback) and the Assaults.

Bit slow for my tastes but we already have a fast striking Heavy, and this is certainly a very different type of Heavy mech than either the Dragon or Catapult. The Cataphract seems also generic and undefined in contrast, but it certainly rounds out the selection.

Jump-jet mech with 11 tons of armor and can mount a ballistic weapon to the right arm? Hello right arm gauss rifle!

Is there a standard callsign for the Cataphract that doesn't overlap with saying 'catapult'? c-phract?

Is that a PPC or a Gauss Rifle on the right torso?

Although i was hoping for THE BLACK KNIGHT, mostly cause i could shout "JUST A FLESH WOUND" everytime someone blows my arms off :(
But this mech is powerful and now looks good but it isnt the black knight :D

Oooooooooooooo...snazy.

Don't think I have ever really liked the Cataphract, but I'm going to start looking into it now.

I have been playing the Cataphract in the Mektek MW4: Mercs. I mean the build that is meant to simulate the Cataphract. I have liked it a lot and am very pleasantly surprised at its inclusion. I guess I have another mech to pilot besides the Cicada now.

I don't think that variant (the one in the one with UAC5 LBX10 4 Md) is not available until 3051. Does anyone else have contradictory information, other than the obvious front page news.

Very nice. I was never a Cataphract fan in the old TT days, but the art work on this as well as the other ten mechs is just incredible. Keep up the awesome work. (no pun intended)

I was unsure whether it would be this or the Orion but this looks way better than any rendition I have seen of either. This will definitely be the first heavy mech I buy (if I can afford it)

Now this is here I am pretty sure the Orion won't be for a while.

Did we say 3 mechs of each class before launch? so the only one missing is the final assault class next month for which I am going to guess Cyclops.

I like this a lot. The reimagined Cataphract looks GREAT, and its actual loadout is interesting to me. I could see myself getting serious mileage out of a maneuverable heavy.

I liked the old Cataphract, but I do love this one too.
Especially the anti-Dragoons paint on the arm! I sorta figured it would be Waco's people and the leg confirmed that.

There is a Varient with a Gauss though...

Quote

CTF-4L - A Capellan upgrade of the Cataphract, the 4L is built using a standard fusion engine and utilizes thirteen and a half tons of Stealth Armor for protection. The 'Mech is armed with a Gauss Rifle and an ER PPC as its primary weapons, giving it a powerful long-range punch. For close range defense, the 'Mech carries two ER Medium Lasers. Because the 'Mech has Stealth Armor, it carries a Guardian ECM Suite. BV (1.0) = 1,634, BV (2.0) = 2,037

Pure sex.

PPC. It's our X1 variant with 4 MLs, PPC and AC/10. ;)

The LBX AC-10 is in the chest. The Ultra AC-5 is in the arm.

It also has two Medium Lasers on the arms and two more Medium Lasers in the torso. The Atlas spread.
