Light mech! I love the idea of sneaking around, providing my team with combat situational awareness. :)
As for a secondary role mech class, I am currently unsure. Perhaps a heavy mech? I'd have to look at the designs, I just may pick based on what looks more cool, haha.

Heavy mech. Tough enough to take a beating, armed enough to make you think twice about messing with me, and faster then an assault.

Once the Timber Wolf/Madcat makes its way into IS in 3050, you probably won't find me in anything else.

Given there are actual rolls for light mechs, I may just end up running about like a madman plinking people in the backside.

Heavy.

If I could work out how to weld PPC's to my feet, I'd do it.

I have always felt a tug towards the heavies. The Cataphract is calling to me. :)

At this point, it's looking like I'm going to have to play at least Medium and Heavy. My favorite Lights aren't around yet, and probably won't be, and I've never liked piloting Assaults...unless a Cyclops shows up, now that I'll drive.

I think I'd try for a fast medium or a decently maneuverable heavy.

Lights are cool, but I'd be concerned about survivability. I'd like to see them in action before I ride out in one

Assaults are sexy, but I'd be too worried about getting outmaneuvered, although I could probably handle a pounding long enough to bring an arm to bear

I was always a fan of mechs around the 70-85 ton range so I'd say Heavy-Assault.

My favorite mech being the Awesome (80 tons). It's an assault mech that's not quite an assault mech. Truly powerful but also fast enough to keep up with most heavies.

I tend to stick to assault-class.

Im gonna be trying them all out to be honest.
I have one I like in each category so far (based on looks anyway)
One mech I KNOW I am going to eventually get is an Atlas and a Catapult.

I have not played to many PC mech games, I'm more of a mini's tabletop player. I hope the unseen mechs are in, man i had a blast with a shadowhawk . also had some fun with a griffen. but the best was my BattleMaster, i racked up some awesome salvage, and wonderful kills with that baby.

Medium, all the way. I ain't interested in BEATING Atlases, I'm interested in keeping them annoyed enough as to be tactically irrelevant. :D

I'm getting the package so I'll have to grab the Atlas, if only to sell that sucker for Cbills. Whenever the clans get there my go to mech is a modified Loki for close combat, but that PPC Catapult is looking mighty fine. The Jenner might be interesting too.
