I found a two-part video that can be very useful for those wanting to know what is going on (lore, history), and what is to come when the actual game is finally ready for release.

Note to those who don't know, this is not one planet. Although these maps seem to imply that.

I hope you guys enjoyed what I was able to find. Enjoy some lore. :)

Further down in my next post, I had found a short-hand version that goes all the way up to the current year.

Interesting, but I would have hoped it would take us up to 3050, instead of just 3025 :)

And maybe get into the motivations the clans have for invading the IS again.

Still a very good find, and fun to watch.

From the same person, a shorter, faster version that goes to 3050 and the start of the return of Kerensky's prodigy.

Would be neat. Although I would think they're going to wait until they get more mechs into the game. The models are pretty shallow right now.

Quite welcome. :(;

If I knew the lore better myself, I might try to shoot a film based on the info using MWO. But don't think I'll be able to top this. I'll wait until after I finish the Zhizhu video before I screw with the idea.

If you want to get as much of an overview as you can about the Battletech universe that makes up the supporting history for Mechwarrior without actually buying all of the sourcebooks etc. click this link to the official Battletech web page http://bg.battletech.com/?page_id=23. This gives you an informative look into Battletech for every major faction and some minor ones as well. Just click the links for each along the left hand side and enjoy the good read.

Just a heads up, this does contain history that goes well beyond our current MWO year of 3050 so some of it might leave you knowing more than you wanted. This is becuase the majority of the Battletech timeline is written about and played from the years 3000 to 3085. Enjoy! :(

Kodiak, base. Kodiak!

Those videos bring back memories of the previous Mechwarrior games. If only I would not have sold some of those titles on E-Bay years ago... back when E-Bay was actually an online garage sale rather than the monstrosity it is now.

Am patiently looking forward to when PGI includes more of a storyline into the current game.
