^^ I set my DD up like that for ONE match while leveling it for shits and giggles.

Charged tunnel on forest, and was met by exactly one enemy: An Ilya with 3 UACs.

The resulting QQ was glorious :P :( :(

First match I played in that was on Frozen City, I went over the crest and walked head first into an Atlas. Fortunately he was shooting at another teammate instead of me (stupid mistake) and I unloaded into his rear armor, killed him in less than 10 seconds, it was glorious :P

This should be renamed the most dysfuntional mech build you have SEEN because I have seen lights with 6 flamers, Jagermechs with mini AC canons and nothing else, the entire trial Highlander's setup... I mean come on it's a slow mech with a fast weapon setup. I've seen an Atlas with small weaponry, come on it's an Atlas just pack at least one punch in there!

I also saw a Spider with a single Medium laser but I don't think he was serious.

Just today I saw something with 4 SRM2's on it, and then some weak lasers. The max damage you can do with that is what I can do in my SLEEP.

Just got done a game with a team that had a Victor-9K with 2 LRM 20's and 2 medium lasers and nothing else... I can't even imagine why...

There are no dysfunctional Mechs, there are only "disfunctional" pilots. Always depends on the individual inside the mechs cockpit, nothing else.

Today was Bad Banshee day!

Our winners included - in the same match:

A La Manche (or whatever the hero's name is) with 3 PPC's and an LRM 15. Yep... get within 90 meters and it is a 95 ton paperweight.

Not to be outdone, we had the "meta-fail" Banshee 3E, with 3 PPC's and 2 AC5's... yep, that's right... a bit backwards, I think. On the plus side, he linked all 3 PPC's together to fully experience Ghost Heat!

Doh!

Note if you do not have any of the weapons you see, you will ALWAYs see them in the first group in spectator mode. MWO does NOT give you their actual groups.

Four SRM-2s is actually a pretty good weapon configuration on its own. Their refire rate is tremendous. 8.6 DPS for four tons (well, realistically 6 with ammo) and not much heat - don't underestimate it!

I saw something...ummm....interesting in game this week. I'd guess this was the build: AS7-D-DC

For the most dysfunctional build ever, pull off the ECM and put an XL engine in.

As far as genuine stock mechs go, nothing comes close to this:

The CGR-1A1 Charger

80 tons
running around at a blinding 86 kph
bringing to bear the awesome firepower of not 3, not 4 but 5!!! small lasers.

This is what happens when you try to design an Assault class Scout Mech.

Yeah, but it could punch as hard as a Large Laser and kicker harder than a Gauss Rifle (ie 8 & 16 damage respectively) and moving at 80 kph it can get to melee pretty quickly. Granted, yes, other than that it's useless.

Saw a funny one last week... I can't honestly say it was horrible, but it certainly stretched the concept of "all the gunz!!!"

It was an Atlas-D with: 2 LBX10's, 2 LRM20's, and 4 Medium lasers. I'm sure somebody can reverse engineer the math regarding what tiny engine he had to have in his super turret to get it to work... note that an XL engine was not possible because of the 2 LBX-10's. That being said, he did okay with it, though he was left behind by the group, of course.

Dual AC2 Spider?

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...7d673dd7805c50f

Worked out better than expected tbh and yes it is possible to stay alive long enough to run out of ammo:
Posted Image

The ERPPC Commando / Death's knell is also a funny one, esp when people see where the PPC fire is coming from.

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...28a879c9dd07f91

Or My Death's knell current twin ERLL set up, not too bad actually and less situational than the ppc build plus spraying enemy mechs from affar is a great way to make money with kill assists and a 30% bonus:

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...89b209c9bb758a1

Just remember with all these builds they have sacrificed a little armour and/or are running XL engine's you NEED to stay way back.

This ghost of this mech showed up today. It was an Atlas-S with an AC 10, 4 medium lasers, and some insane tonnage devoted to missiles (2 LRM20's and an SRM6) This is only really doable with a smaller engine (standard 275) is my guess. Again, not terrible, but very much "turret mode."
