I once took out my D-DC with a UAC5, and 4 tons of AC20 ammo. Fun times.

Many months ago, I had a "cursed" Highlander. Games that it was in had a higher than normal chance of disconnecting... the only time I've ever been seriously attacked by friendly fire happened while I was in that mech (and led to my only team kill on the griefer), and so on. Well, I once accidentally took it out with an AC10 and no ammo... fortunately, the game crashed before that mistake could be revealed in the actual match?!

Just saw another one... A Battlemaster, Phoenix version I think, with: 1 AC 2, 1 small laser, 1 LRM 20 + A, and 1 TAG.

I have no idea what the goal was here, but it failed wonderfully.

HGN-732?

Kind of reasonable terri-build: 31 damage alpha, 600 damage worth of ammo(plus lasers!), and effectively heat neutral once you have double basics (time to overheat > match length). Tried to recreate it with DHS but to no avail, so SHS for the win! Also rocks max engine and jump jets.

*Disclaimer: This is a terrible build. Nobody with a clue would ever endorse it's usage in live gameplay at any skill level.*

Now that the disclaimer is out of the way, someone should start running it...

Reading some of these I feel fairly normal now about once trying my BH back with the XL400 with 6x LL (STD 380 is what I always run)... here I thought an XL Atlas was pretty dysfunctional.

I just got back from a match where the opposing team had a Victor with literally no armor and two machine guns. We all spotted it and stopped for a moment to say WTF to each other.

Dammit, wish I had a screenshot of that...

I once spectated a Catapult that was horribly lightly armed - something like an LRM5 and a small laser, IIRC.

The pilot said that he was new and didn't have enough C-bills.

in our unit UMAD we call this kind of builds "Miguel-Builds" and October the 16th was declared "Miguel-Day", a kind of unit-holiday were all run complete fail-builds.
October 16th 2013 was the day when the original Miguel-Build was first discovered, piloted with a guy with "miguel" in his name... i don't want to call him out, it doesn't matter.

I present: The Original Miguel:

Please have a look at the dual Tag... the second one really kicks it into next dimension of MWO =)

I'm not sure it really qualifies as a dysfunctional build in MWO (partially because the 'Mech is not yet available) but I came up with a quad Gauss Dire Wolf... only 2.5 tons after the rifles, which naturally leaves up to two tons for ammo. ;)

I saw a 4 man group running CTF-4X with 4 machineguns and 2 flamers on it. I thought they were looking to die, except we actually won that match. That was a pretty funny moment.

Oh my 9 flamer Hunchie 4P is pretty dysfunctional.

I saw an Atlas RS running 4 flamers, now that was hilarious.

Eww.

Clan PIG runs a variant on that that's actually terrifying- Atlases with two flamers and an AC/20 each with high-rating engines. They brontosaurus-pack targets, blanketing fields of view with flames from multiple angles while under the ECM cover of their DDC or an ECM-light companion and ambush from cover. It's pretty unpleasant unless you have a super-low-heat 'mech, and even then, them AC/20s.

Incidentally, http://mwo.smurfy-ne...0e5a91c6163b2df .

I believe I have found the failest build possible?

ggclose... but it's too fast, so it has at least one advantage ;)

Of course it's fast. Otherwise, you won't get into range for optimal exploding in a giant fireball wrecking face with that deadly machine gun!
