All this internet buzz finally convinced me to watch the show. It seems pretty good for a kids' show I guess. Not quite as good as Avatar: The Last Airbender or Sailor Moon or anything, but it's kind of fun. My favorite pony is probably Rainbow Dash, my least favorite is Luna, of course.

Anyway, which mechs do ya'll think the ponies would pilot? I think Rainbow Dash would probably be a Phoenix Hawk LAM (I kind of hope MWO gets LAMs down the line), Applejack maybe a Charger since it's good at kicking stuff, and I'm going to say an Ares for Big Mac (because it's big, get it?).

On a sidenote. In S2E9 "Sweet and Elite", there is a collage of the Very Important Ponies in Canterlot when Rarity sings her "Pony everypony should know"-song.

I just noticed one pony that doesn't really fit in: (Hint: It's not Rarity)

Nah, I love Luna and I've been watching the show for a long time now. I was just trying desperately to change the subject off of, ugh, pony sexuality (I feel dirty just typing that phrase) and people posting shipping images and crap. I'd really like to know why that sort of thing is tolerated here. You start letting it slide, and eventually the discussion just spirals into a den of horrors like 4chan and those godawful subreddits (if you don't know what I'm talking about don't go trying to find out, trust me).

Thankfully it seems like ELP, at least, is keeping a lid on that garbage.

Usually I'd agree with Jade and ignore it, but it's not gonna stop that way.




However, let's not judge the whole unit based on the action of one particularily annoying member. Even if that one is actually the founder...
BTW Fros, what gave you the idea that spam-recruiting was a good idea in the first place?
It's just very annoying, and really only creates a negative image for your unit... Ever considered that?

Oh Fros is very aware of how bad it makes him look, it's been brought up multiple times.

That being said, I'm almost afraid that my own analysis of this show has brought some, negative attention to my own unit, for which I am quite, unhappy for.

Each person makes their own decisions about the things they like, I happen to really enjoy My Little Pony, Friendship is Magic, the things I enjoy, I analize the HELL out of, Battletech I can tell you exactly how a mech moves, down to individual accuators for specific parts of certern mechs.

Aliens, I can tell you Exactly how a M41A Pulse Rifle works, and if You've got a question about it, I can always reference my Colonial Marines Technical Manual. Predator, I can detail out the Yautja [predator] lifestyle, I can give information about their culture and even their religion. Ect Ect. MLP is no different for me, and as such, I think, heavily about things I see in the show, why, because I enjoy it.

Hell I think about Twilight [the vampire novel] And I can tell you exactly the reasons WHY I dislike the novels, why, because if I'm going to have an opinion, again, I should beable to defend it, because the moment you go from simply 'watching' something, to Talking about it, you HAVE to think about the things you're discussing, and to make an un-informed opinion, even on a forum, is death to your argument/opinion.
