Anyone have a idea what this

Cryanimation: Command Buffer overflow

crash is and a fix for it. Starting to happen fairly often, and I'm getting tired of leaving my team hanging every other match with a crash to desktop assualt.

Sorry, no clue here (haven't had a chance to patch yet, was away), did you take a screenshot and submit a bug email?

Do you play on Window Fullscreen mode? ... i usually got a freeze in normal Fullscreen, sometimes it helps to delete the cache D3D9 folder under Shaders folder. No i switched to window fullscreen, because some other wrote he had less problems with it, but now i get your error too. Perhaps this is the main reason for the ingame freezes and i don't can't see the error in normal fullscreen but now?

Check your video drivers. Sounds illogical, but they can push errors up the stack that cause CryEngine to blame the wrong thing.

Seems to happen the most when I'm on my LRM support mech. Almost always after I fire a full barrage. And form the ? above I play in windowed mode.

Its getting very annoying.

(EDIT) Just tested it again today. Only seems to happen when I'm running LRM support.

OK So I reloaded the game and no longer crash on my Support boat. Now I crash constantly on another mech I use a great deal. Any idea how I can fix this?!

Also getting this crash. IGP guy suggested clearing out shader folder, gets me about 6 matches before a crash instead of 1 or 2.

If you search your start menu (sorry Windows XP users) for "Crash" you should see "View reliability history". Open the app and look at "Application Failures". Find your MW:O crashes and "View Technical Details". You can post those here to help PGI.

Example:

Description
Faulting Application Path: C:\Games\Piranha Games\MechWarrior Online\Bin32\MWOClient.exe

Problem signature
Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
Application Name: MWOClient.exe
Application Version: 3.4.1.4418
Application Timestamp: 50bfd523
Fault Module Name: StackHash_0a52
Fault Module Version: 6.2.9200.16420
Fault Module Timestamp: 505aaa82
Exception Code: c0000374
Exception Offset: PCH_A3_FROM_ntdll+0x00040DA8
OS Version: 6.2.9200.2.0.0.256.48
Locale ID: 1033
Additional Information 1: 0a52
Additional Information 2: 0a52c07c9250e08275cb8d1de33ecb80
Additional Information 3: 51a3
Additional Information 4: 51a3afc2469c6873cf94553c4710dcee

Extra information about the problem
Bucket ID: ce8b39f1992ef8bf3dd848a874bdd3ce (-1001029195)

Using the bold data above, devs can realize that exception code 0xc0000374 is STATUS_HEAP_CORRUPTION, that means memory access violated. Likely caused by a failed malloc call not being checked before being dereferenced somewhere in StackHash or being passed into StackHash.

You may or may not be suffering from file corruption (resulting from memory corruption). Check (via the test feature of) ALL of the .pak files in the MWO folder (think of them as zip files of some sort). If the test comes back with errors, you need to download the correct/non-corrupt copy of the files.

Crashes, as in the game freezes like a screenshot, might have something to do with watching mechs get hit by lrms post patch. We had two people on my team freeze like that simultaneously today.

Same here. New 660ti card ... all other games work without issue. (and we're talking a LOT of games.)

Still seems to happen (more) on LRM mech. Run my LRM Stalker 6 times tonight. 4 crashes. 2 Times I bought it before I got to really fire much. 1 on my SRM Stalker. I have at least 50+ matches under my belt(today). Switching to my LRM seems to be the the one that trips it off the above crash.

Is there a solution to this yet? I'm unable to enter a match without a crash to the desktop with no error message whatsoever. It really ****** me off and I'm sure it ****** off the people I'm in a match with too.
