If I could I would go periphery pirate. I like the idea of being part of disorgonized group driving around haggard mechs held together by duct tape and prayer. Even if it would result in losing most matches.

I would like to see the FRR acquit itself better than they did in the original canon, though, and plan on doing my best to make it happen.

Pirating actually sounds great, like disreputable mercs basically. Get a small rag-tag crew together and run raids where ever and when ever we can. Clans and factions be damned, I just wanna kill something, and make money doing it.

Since i am from Sweden IRL the FRR was the obvious choice for me.

Besides of that, like Carl Wede, I'm from Germany. So for me it is either Steiner or the FRR. But the FRR Backgroudns suits me more (especially being an Asatru myself), so here I am! (or will be)

I'm also of Norwegian extraction and have an affinity for Scandinavian things. Plus, I like democratic republics.

I just hope that the devs don't rail road the story of the game. It's going to suck when they are giving the vat-boys planets "Because its canon!" when they can't hold a planet long enough to refuel their dropships.
Or what if the FRR spanks the Draconis Combine so hard that the FRR should be invading Lutherin? Are the devs just going to say, "NOPE lol!"

They could have been the biggest, the smallest, the weakest, the strongest, the lest aggressive, the most aggressive, easiest to play, most difficult to play, evil, good, stone cold dictators... and I would still have joined them!

Oh man! Just had a thought. If they don't keep it to the canon, and let the battles fall as they may...what if the Clanners push farther than Tharkad? What if they conquer most of the inner sphere?!

I think the clanners will be popular because the tech is better, and just for that reason I look forward to fighting them. (I am shameless though, I will use their tech on my IS chassis.)

I have no problem with using the enemy tools against him

Show them that all their Next-Generation-Warrior Pathos relies solely on their Tech and that, when faced with said tech, they die like everybody else.

Unless the genetically-altered nitwits show up with orbital bombardment on a planetary scale, they ain't gonna. If they do...
Those dirty Kuritans have planets to spare, they ain't gonna miss em.
*Proceeds to plan the conquring of the Draconis Combine, leaving one world for future use as invasion practice.*
