Probably not as cool of a reason as it should be I guess.

Besides, I technically am descended from several viking clans so I can be a citizen from the FRR who has returned to fight.

You FRR guys keep the wolves/bears at bay while we push back the jade birds. Once they are dealt with we'll hit the wolves from the back, catching them between us, and when they are clubbed into submission we will start a co-op campaign deep into clan territory.
Lots of salvage for us all and lots of crying clanners.
Everyone is happy (exept the clanners, but who cares about them

No, in 3103 the FRR graciously allowed the mislead people of the so called "ghost bears" into its fold thereby creating the Rasalhague Dominion

I really want to see what happens if we managed to throw off the previously canon timeline (or if that is going to even be allowed).
If the over all timeline is going to railroad us at every turn then I'd be disappointed since it would mean that the in game events don't matter and that "the future" is already written in stone.

The future has already been decided, otherwise we will not see events like the Fedcom Civil War, the Refusal War, Operation Guerrero, etc.

I'd be tempted to go FRR, if it were not for the fact that my best chance of slaughtering swedes is to be in the faction opposing them. But of course, to keep priorities in straight, i have to also figure out where the russians are before making any decisions...well mostly kidding there. Reality is that like most people here i just have to figure out with the people i know which faction we are going. Although swedish curses from enemies is a definate plus.

Ghost Bear tried to take over the whole of the FRR, got a hold of Kuritan intel on how much of a pain in the butt it is to hold the FRR.
at that point Ghost Bear said, what if we just teamed up with them?

It was more like "we made the shift to the Warden camp, let's give these people a shot at proving themselves".
Well it worked out in the end.
