I chose Kurita because my roommate did, and after that it was more because I like the story behind the Combine more than any other faction.

I just chose it because honestly I liked the symbol and they generally pilot mechs I like to use in tabletop.
So essentially that's why I chose this faction.

I have great respect for House Kurita, their samurai are a shinning example of honor. But I must point out that most of the animosity between our houses stems from the Kentaris Massacre in the First Sucession War which was started by House Kurita. That massacre horrified even the troops ordered to execute it and also lead to Combine forces massacring a large number of the Eridani Light Horse mercenaries because they broke contract in response to this horrific event. And to the events of the Fourth Succession War the Davion Front was focused on House Liao territory, Steiner's focus was on Kurita. And as stated before Steiner is the lowest form of slime to ever inhabit a planet.
