Hey my game keeps freezing, does anyone else have this problem or know how I can fix it?

I updated my video card drivers to the newest Nvidia, also I checked my temperatures and they never go over 80.

When the game freezes I hit ctrl alt delete and in task manager it shows MWO as not responding.

I tried playing around with graphical settings and it doesn't seem to do anything, I put post processing on the lowest setting, turn AA off, no dice.

I'm using a GTX 670 with an i7 2600k

any ideas?

Still happening to me with this new patch(20-2-2013). I've got gtx 680. Did'nt have this problem before the last 2 patches so they must be trying something different. Most people with this problem had gtx graphics cards.

heard something about this just a few minutes ago. According to what I read, enabling V-synch will stop the freezing. I haven't had a chance to test it out yet though.

I got a couple of freezes as well. This started happening after the Feb 5th patch. After freezing, I would have to CTRL+ALT+Delete or ALT+Tab away and back to the game, in order to unfreeze. The game would then run fine.

This issue has been happening to me every single match after the February 19th patch. Previously, after the 5th February patch, I only got it rather randomly or the first time I booted up the game after I booted up the PC. Now it is every single game.

I am reinstalling it now, and will try the V-Sync option once the game is done downloading and all that. I am doubtful it will work though, using a GTX 670 as well. The game always ran fine till the 5th February patch.

I keep having my system freeze when i run my catapulty c4 missle boat. The ONLY time the game freezes is when i run that mech and run low on ammo. Its happened multiple times and only on that particular mech... hope this helps

My computer not only freezes but it puts mt monitor into sleep mode also. All drivers are up to date.

Same as you Cyber, straight up strands me in open water, only fix is to unplug, restart. Etc.

Im having a similar issue, i can get into the mech lab but when i go to launch a game i freeze up. same vid card also.

I believe this is a known issue effecting Nvidia 6 series cards.

Any kind of fix or workaround for this? The game is unplayable as is. This happened every time i try to drop.

I manage to bring the game back by opening task manager, does not work for most people tho

I figured out how to get it working for my setup.

-Turn AA off
-Turn Post Processing onto the lowest setting
-Turn shadows onto the lowest setting
-Turn v sync on
-Run the game in windowed mode and then once you get in game hit alt + enter to go full screen.

This fixed it for me.

I doubt its just an gtx card problem, since everytime i start a match, it stops working, and im using an old HD 3870 Radeon card e.e, i also get the "session is lost" message pretty often. New patch rendered the game unplayable for me

I got a geforce GTX 680, and also my game freeze I would say every 30 min or so. Its pretty annoying. Hope that nvidia or MWO will provide somekind of hotfix for this.

Same problem here, started 2 patches ago, GTX 670 not overclocked temps are fine.

I will try the vsync but this is the only game/sim that has this happening.

Devs please check into it.

I'm having the same problem. Setting the graphic to lowest setting doesn't solve the problem. I have an HD 6970 and an i7 2600k (no overclocking)
