I am Johan Karl Grecco-Steiner, Hans for short. My current capacity is the executive officer, Skye Rangers Brigade and deputy commander of Skye Front. Traditionally this position is also the titular head of all garrison forces in Skye. I hold the rank of Kommandant-General, 2nd Steiner Cross. I am a co-manager of the Skye-Rangers.net club.

Prior to this posting I was the commander of the 17th regiment, Boys of Summer. This was also my first posting in the Skye Rangers Brigade as a mech warrior. While I am a satisfactory mech pilot, I dont attempt to pass myself off as any kind of exceptional mech warrior. My interests are more in the realm of grand strategy and the application of force across a broad strategic front.

My command style is business like with a strong respect for the chain of command and military tradition. When possible, I believe in delegating tasks and functions to the appropriate level of responsibility. All duties should be completed at the lowest level possible.

When not on duty, I enjoy a nice bottle of scotch or 69er (or both) to take the edge off the day. I frequently enjoy a good laugh, and a party even more. I attempt to live up to the highest standards of Social Generalhood and am a consummate high level schmoozer. I can drink any LCAF general in the high command under the table. Its a gift.

I was born on Summer, the second son of Kamilla Anna Grecco and Konnor Steiner, great grandson of Cohen Borge-Steiner who was brother of Tatyana Borge-Steiner (Archon). My father felt we needed to distinguish our clan from the regular Steiner brood so styled his offspring with the compound surname of Grecco-Steiner. This has done nothing to stem the tide of coat-tail Steiner relative aspersions. Nevertheless, it still tends to be a key to many doors.

Penniless and nearly dispossessed, I was given a small inheritance and an old JR7-K. Told to go forth and make house Grecco-Steiner proud. Surely they must have been kidding? I couldn't even keep my mech in lubricant. Nevertheless, the rest is history and the Skye Rangers Brigade is family.
