Should the developers include their own mech designs?

I'm wondering what others think, should the developers only be adding mechs that already exist in the battletech universe, or make totally new ones where ever they feel they are lacking? In addition, should the developers include some of the weirder mechs such as Super-Lights and Super-Heavies? What about allowing vehicles and aircraft, those are part of the universe too and don't seem to get enough attention. Should there be mechs that are tri, quad, or higher battlemechs instead of the standard bipedel? Stuff like that I personally would find interesting in a battletech game, but the game IS called MechWarrior afterall so I'd like to hear what you all think.
