Nice e-peen.^^

But doens't matter how long it grows, but the Raven still has the ability to interrupt and/or on long range enemies electronics and / or fool them. Simple as that. Or why do you think the Raven is called Raven? Oh, because of his shape? And why does the Raven has such a shape? What does he carry in his nifty pecker?

Anyway, since you are such pro and worked on so much stuff of the BTU then I wonder why you didn't recall facts of it. Or simple read the source to verify which -for sure- you got at hand.

And please don't get this as an attack or anything regarding you, me was just stating some facts. Relying on the BTU and not on a spin-off computer game.
Not looking for a premature e-peen contest nor do I wanna discredit anyone.

Wow, I don't know how anyone could take the condescending tone of your posts as anything but an attack. Show some courtesy and respect to your fellow community members please.

In Topic: Battletech 25th Anniversary Introductory Box Set

It seriously makes me happy to see that this game is sparking interest in the TT rules; that's just fantastic. OP, once youve run through the box set rules a few times, pick up a copy of Total Warfare. Its the hard cover all-inclusive rulebook that introduces combined arms, scenarios, and some advanced rules.

Then on to Tactical Operations, if you want it to get amazing. And on it goes.

That's the real beauty of BT TT; its as simple of infinitely complex a beast as you want it to be :D

Have fun!

instead of 3 ac20 i would rather have a hunchback iic. 2 ac20's on a 50 tonner is pretty sick.

That thing is the definition of a glass cannon. Also, they are Ultra AC/20's, so they burn through 4 rounds a turn...and come equipped with a full ten shots.

If I remember properly, they are designed to give disgraced clanners an honorable way to die in combat ;)

The -2H was definitely not designed with a min-max mindset. I would have dropped 2 heat sinks, added 2 jump jets and another ton of armor.

Still, I agree that "Its weapons systems are all over the board and do not compliment one another,' but I see it as a good thing in a medium. I consider mediums to be floaters, hopefully able to fill several roles. A varied weapons system on a mobile platform compliments the pilot. He gets to go where needed, and do what needs done.

Sure, it can be taken too far, but with something like the -2H, I feel like I have options. With the Griffin GRF 1-N, I know exactly what I'll be doing, and I know that I'm not much good at any other role.

Still, just a personal preference.

For sure, I'm not arguing any of those points at all, and agree that the versatility is excellent. It's exactly why I favor the Wolverines over any other mech in the game. The real drawback to the SHD-2H is the LRM/SRM/AC ammo just waiting to burst under an embarrassingly light compliment of tin foil armor :) True, the base model Wolverine has that issue as well, but the difference in armor really REALLY helps. And IMO the liability of 15 rounds of SRM-6 ammo is far more risk-worthy than 50 rounds of SRM-2 or 24 rounds of LRM-5.

All my experience with these guys comes form tabletop, for what its worth, so I may be pleasantly surprised by the way they perform in a mechwarrior environment.

:)
