Noob to me is the most hated word in the universe, used by cyberbullies with the same careless vitriol and venom that more conventional thugs have used similar epithets to bully those percieved as weeker or different from themselves for time immemorial. It is the shelter of cowards using anonymity to somehow build up their pathetic and insecure selves by shouting at the universe that this targeted person or people should be scorned and reviled because, well just because. It reminds me mercilessly of every bully I ever dealt with growing up and there were more than a few. To anyone who doubts that Capital Punishment is a deterrent, let me say it is one of the things, along with a sense of justice and a religious upbringing that prevented me from being a mass murderer before leaving high school.

How wonderful that in this virtual universe Bullies can be hunted down and their mechs destroyed

In any online game or sim of any sort, use of the term noob in this way immediately adds you to my Kill on Sight list. It also urges me to help every new player I can develop the skills to be an effective virtual combatant. I've been very fortunate to be mentored by some like minded people in past games/sims. I'll be pleased to be learn the skills needed for MWO and to pass them on, just to allow me to slay anyone I see throwing this hated epithet across the comm waves.

A little while ago after the debut of the Raven I started a post essentially calling out the Devs to put in something new, Mechs we have never seen in the MW franchise or at least not in a long while.

First came the Cicada...

Now the Cataphract.

Only one thing to say.
